Living in the A/C!!!

Actually, the mornings and evenings are not too bad. We’re getting down into the low-to-mid 80s overnight, so it’s okay. And we’re still getting the monsoon flow, so I’ve not had to water the lawn for the last few weeks. Great for the water bill, eh?

We went out yesterday after lunch to shop for a new car, and it was just too bloody hot. So we went back around 6 PM; it was much better but we were took our test drive in the rain! We found a car, but it was a bit too much for our pocketbook. Now we need to back off a couple of years or add a few thousand miles to find something we’ll be able to afford.

On a side note - our son and granddaughter have been with us since last Thursday. They finally went home yesterday. He said it was 18 degrees hotter when he got home - I’m fairly certain Phoenix hit a hundred yesterday.

I miss Piper already!

Just got back from picking up lunch and car dash says 98 already. Thankfully, there’s a breeze.

Looks like all the rain is going either north or south of us these days. So, yeah, you’re lucky no to have to water.

Shopping for a new vehicle is no fun, even in the cool weather. I feel for you. Are you doing CarMax? Do you have them out your way?

Awww got a nice visit from Piper (and son of course...hehe)

How is the little princess?

Kylie (she’s 6 now) came over on Wed to visit for a bit. She has discovered my iPad. Started off, she liked the little note pad thingy where she could doodle. Well, Wed she asked if she could draw on it so I let her play with it. Next thing I know she’s giggling up a storm. I go see what she’s doing - she tried to hide it at first - and found her making videos of herself. LOL All kinds of crazy, silly stuff - making faces, singing, etc. Must have been about 15 short videos. She thought they were so funny she had to show her dad and us and laughed the whole time. Then, she’d go off and do more. Told my son that he had to watch it cause the next thing he’d know is her posting on YouTube. LOL

CarMax, Autotrader, and a dealer. We’re taking advantage of a lot of resources. We may have to go to Phoenix to get a deal, but if that’s the case, so be it!

Isn’t it amazing what the kids can do with computer stuff nowadays?

Piper is 7 for another couple of months...she wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up, so I’m going to start looking for a program she can play with that lets her do that.
