BREAKING NEWS: ATF attaché calls Gunwalker 'perfect storm of idiocy'
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | July 26, 2011 | David Codrea

Posted on 07/27/2011 6:26:48 AM PDT by Texas Fossil

A Joint Staff Report prepared for Rep. Darrell Issa of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and Sen. Chuck Grassley of the Senate Judiciary Committee has just been released today.

Snip>

Of significance, former ATF attaché to Mexico, Darren Gil and his deputy, Carlos Canino confirm reports made early on by Gun Rights Examiner and Sipsey Street Irregulars that not only was this information withheld from them, but also from the Mexican government—despite repeated questioning and objections leading to “screaming matches” registered with management.

2000 plus weapons plus what was involved in Operation Castaway is the number that is kicked around.

“Why is the state arming the criminals”

Answer: to cook the numbers of weapons smuggled to Mexico so that Obozo and minions can justify restricting our ability to purchase weapons.....

No other conclusion is possible from the already exposed evidence.

AND in the case of Operation Castaway it might also mean “arming” Obozo’s favorite commie buddy “Mel Zelaya” in Honduras. That is a quieter front than this at this point in time.

...show a remarkable degree of calm and deliberate judicial corruption.

Agreed. Hang 'em all.

Most of Hoover’s FBI are dead.

The world has changed since his days. But the battles have not.

That comes awfully close to witness tampering..................

In much the same way that Chicago comes awfully close to Illinois.

"Perfect storm of idiocy" my @$$.

The program continued in spite of the protests of the agents on the ground for one reason: it was working as designed by The Regime, whose purpose was never to target Mexican cartels.

The above chart (of firearms seized in Mexico) shows that the Mexican cartels' major source of weapons was never US weapons. And that in fact, tens of thousands or firearms, illegally acquired from either the Mexican Military or Central America, according to more reliable source than the propaganda organs of the Obama Regime, are seized every year.

For that reason, law enforcement authorities in Mexico did not need to find Obama/Holder provided weapons on Cartel members/"cartel leaders" as a reason to arrest and prosecute them.

To call it "idiocy" is to claim those weapons were walked into Mexico for primarily any other reason than to manufacture evidence for the Obaminista narrative of "Mexican violence fueled by lax US gun laws." To do this is either dangerously naive or a ruthlessly Obamanista lie. This was nothing other than a "Reichstag Fire" engineered by the Obama regime, to attack 2nd Amendment Constitutional rights.

The only thing that went wrong, for Obamanista designs, was that the murder of a BP Officer, with one of these weapons, provoked whistle-blowers to expose it.

The corruption goes far and deep. Whoever authorized the letters is guilty of witness tampering. They are directing individuals on what they can and cannot say. Start issuing subpeonas and keep putting on the pressure to get to the officials who authorized this fiasco. Lay it all out and get the independent prosecutor involved. Then start the impeachment hearings.

SEEMS TO ME THEY DON’T HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO, JUST FIREARMS.......

Since 'good ole boy' moonshiners, and 'untaxed cigarette' mobsters had a depressing tendency to register their displeasure at the ATF by shooting back, over the decades, the ATF went the 'safer' route. The anti 2d Amendment atmosphere of academia and upper gooberment management didn't hurt, either...

Both. The MSM has been “consolidated” for a long time and has been spitting out Marxist talking points for fifty years and more.

We just didn’t know any better, because that’s all there was.

The alternative media will eventually get all the news out, but not without a fight. We’ll be called names and be threatened with jail, etc - as it has been throughout history. See Martin Luther.

Now excuse me. I have to get back to a story I broke with my newsblog Monday about a local library board that voted to give all the staff a 50% raise.

the BATF is and has always been a perfect storm of idiocy.

They are not known as F-Troop for nothing!

This is just their known activities. I would venture if all their stunts were revealed they would make the IRS blush with envy in their trampling of the Constitution and making up law as they go and inflicting it on its own citizens.

Good on ya!

That's what I found fascinating about the AJ Liebling angle I mentioned.

He was writing example upon example of how the newspaper consolidation in the 50s and 60's was quite clearly a rightward bias toward monopoly and big business. It was!

How far we've reversed in 30 years!

I had never really considered how far right the papers tilted not just too long ago.

Actually, I've seen it reported on CNN and a couple of air broadcast channels, although not to the extent it should be.

Hang in there...this story has legs and some of the TV MSM is too panicked over their loss of viewership to ignore it.

I've been watching CNN of late, mainly because I've gotten tired of the egos at Fox. CNN news shows are less slanted than in the past, but still more than Fox. Of course, the leftist print media will ride their bias into their grave. Goodbye, Newsweak, Tames, Wapo, The Old Stupid Grey Lady (NYT), Boston Glib, Los Angeles Time to suck-up to every parasite, San Fran hate everyone who's not on board, etc,...

Happy thought: The Internet is the best thing that ever happened to public discourse.

You guys have it right and the ONLY reason that impeachment hasn’t already begun is because the Ministry of Truth decides what “the folks” need to know. This just shows how far done our nation has gone. I hope there is a “critical mass” of patriots. Elisha was told “I have saved 7,000 who have not bent a knee to Baal.” I hope He saved a few here.

My theory, FWIW, is that the inflection point was 1964, the year that Henry Luce turned over his Editor-In-Chief job to Hedley Donovan.

Luce was reasonably conservative, especially compared to the rest of the journalisto types of the day. His publications tended to moderate the rest of the screaming liberals of the day.

Once he went away, there was nothing to prevent the rest of them from coming loose from their moorings and going full Marxist.

This story is exploding.

And Drudge still refuses to post anything about it. Mystifying.

Marxist demrats, by definition, are vile and evil. Genuine and modern democracies do not participate in or condone genocide as a matter of national policy. Marxism has no problem with it at all while it points fingers at everyone else. Millions of American unborn babies are murdered every year on the alter of Marxism disguised as some grotesque women’s right.
