Yup.
Additionally, I saw a video clip of 0bama schooling a reporter once. Brief. Gone now. The guy asked if what he said is accurate—wanting to confirm the story, with an implication of whether it was true. 0bama’s response was that the reporter was to report exactly what 0bama said, as that was what was true AT THE TIME.
