House Speaker John Boehner abruptly broke off talks with President Barack Obama Friday night on a deal to cut federal spending and avert a threatened government default, sending compromise efforts into an instant crisis.
Within minutes, an obviously peeved Obama virtually ordered congressional leaders to the White House for a Saturday meeting on raising the nation's debt limit. "We've got to get it done. It is not an option not to do it," he declared.

This is Obama's idea of executive leadership. Can't he at least put everyone at tables and grab some flip charts and play facilitator?

Republican leaders politely and firmly declined Obama's gracious invitation and declared in joint statement:

This is getting interesting. I used to assume the GOP would cave at some point, but that is looking less likely by the day. Even though the “cave-o-meter” seems to fluctuate by the hour, it is going distinctly in the direction of not caving. The question is: Will Obama blink?

I hope there’s unity among the GOP. I was disappointed in Bachmann, who had her own agenda and withdrew her support when it was very necessary to present a united front.
We have to be able to get together enough to pass things or support people who are fighting for basic principles.
Obviously, the chicken-sh*t-in- chief thinks he's the King of America. Unfortunately for the skinny-assed Alien Usurper, nobody elected his Wonderful Self to that position.
Boehner should say "Sorry, I've got a golf game on. See you at 2 pm."

Stand firm and ratchet it up. As the Senate or the Commissar of the Untied States reject House budgets, send an amended one back with more stripped from the budget. EPA, TSA, HUD, NEA, BATFE, FDA, DOE, NATO, HealthControl, NPR etc. etc. etc.
Make them pay a cost, and it is still not nearly enough.
He needs even a basic management seminar.
I believe that is the wishful thinking of the press. I think they are hoping their lies will sway Republicans.
