Good morning, Mooch...((HUGS))...too hot at your house, huh?

We had some rain on the weekend, but it has been pretty warm for here this week...high 60s, low 70s. I’ve got a fan going every evening when I get home from work.

Hope you can stay cool inside.

Gut Shabbes.

Good morning, Kathy! *HUGS* On the 5:41 into the Nation's Capitol - on time and full speed ahead! The train is nearly empty this morning - Friday and triple digit heat taking its toll. Hope all is well with you!

Flying bugs are not very appealing. A rolled up newspaper seems the perfect tool of defense.

Much better today...no hard deadlines, but VERY busy.
And a boss who still doesn’t get it, doesn’t understand the massive amount of corrections that must be made because the system doesn’t know how to do holidays the way WE need them, not the way THEY want to do them. *sigh*

Good morning, Mac...*HUGS*...triple digits must be very draining.

Glad you are on time and full speed ahead. I already took a nap and now I’m headed to bed. I’ll take the afternoon off to take my Dad to the doctor.

Have a good Friday and stay cool!

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning to our

Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.

Thanks and KUDOS go out to
the Royal Netherlands marines
and the Wounded Georgian soldiers
featured in this thread.
We should not forget the sacrifices of our allies.

The DC Metroland weather report

~ Today...Hazy with areas of fog in the morning.
Sunny...Hot with highs around 101. Southwest winds around 5 mph.
Heat index values up to 118 in the afternoon.

~ Tonight...Partly cloudy.
A slight chance of showers
and thunderstorms in the evening (but don't hold your breath)
Lows in the upper 70s. Southwest winds around 5 mph.
Chance of rain 20 percent.

UGH! Disgusting air outside. Hard to take a breath.
Looking into the future (weather.com)
it looks like we'll start a slow decline in temps starting Sunday.
Praise the Lord!

Off to the gym.
But, you stay right where you are.
Don't leave the room...I'll be bock!

Remember, the Canteen is

Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM - DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Good morning, Beachy!

*HUGS*

TGIF!!!

Stepped out of my air-conditioned van into 85 degree heat at the train station in Laurel this morning and my glasses immediately fogged up. Needless to say, I won't be going outside today!
