Prince Charles upset Will and Kate 'overshadowing' other royals

While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wowed crowds and made international headlines as they toured Canada and made a quick stop in the U.S. earlier this month, sources say Prince Charles is not happy with the coverage.

The Sunday Mirror reports Charles is worried the media reports of his son and daughter-in-law, Will and Kate, will overshadow good work being done by other royals, such as himself.

Sources close to the 62-year-old heir to the throne said he was happy the royal couple was welcomed in Canada, but he was concerned about the coverage of their stops.

One source said Charles is now looking at a makeover to attract more fans.

Royal author Phil Dampier told the newspaper Charles likely feels "sidelined" by his son.

He said as soon as William got married, "People would be less interested in what (Charles) has to say on issues such as the environment and architecture if, on the same day, Kate is wearing a new dress."

The paper also reported there are concerns by government officials the young couple could also overshadow the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year.

Kinda sad when a man is jealous of his son. Guess that comes form a life spent waiting for your dear old mum to die.

May Elizabeth outlive her first born son, so we won't have to see his snooty face with the crown on his head.

Either of his sons would be preferable to him.

Oh, Gosh, could it be that Daddy is upset that his son married someone prettier than HIS bride, Diana?

I admit, it was tough to do, but Kate IS prettier than Diana! :)

If he is that petty he does not deerve to be King.

Maybe ‘mum’ knows that.

Oh my...so much for "grace." Wow...sure hope Queen Mum puts Charles in his proper place.

Like...crowning William before she passes away....

Not only prettier, but a hell of a lot more grounded with common sense; or so it appears to be at this point. Let’s hope it continues.

Note to Charles: Your son and his bride just might save the monarchy so you can have the throne.

Charles is a selfish man to resent his own son’s growing in stature.

Every time people see Charles they are reminded of how he dealt treacherously with the wife of his youth. Has Charles ever repented?

Ahh, but Kate knows much more about what dress to wear and how to wear it than pop-in-law will ever know about the environment or architecture.

Mentally Charles is a child.

Embraces Islam, Global Warming, and many other spoiled Trust Fund Babies ideas of the World.

“Sources say ....”

Tax-chick says, “Piffle.” Yes, Prince Charles is a goofball, but I’m not going to waste a minute believing whatever “sources” project on him.

Of course, if there are too many photos of Kate’s bare bum, Queen Elizabeth may offer a formal “Tsk, tsk.”
