A failed operation by U.S. authorities, known as Operation Fast and Furious, which allowed the entry of huge numbers of weapons into Mexican territory is also generating expectations given an upcoming related hearing in Congress
Plan Merida was launched in 2008 by President George W. Bush has been continued by his successor, Barack Obama, supposedly as a contribution to Mexico and Central American countries in combating drug trafficking
A Citizens Pact was signed in the (Mexico) city by around 200 organizations and public figures, which also calls on the Mexican government to reconsider its anti-drug strategy, which it considers a failure. Organized crime left more than 10,000 people dead in 2010, (Mexican territory)

It has always seemed to Rab, kinda strange how we can trash our neighbors country, then suck rightist when they seek a better life away from their homeland.

You’re blaming the U.S. for Mexico’s problems or did you have some other country in mind? Canada perhaps?

How did you stumble across this site?
Love this very interesting and completely non-propagist sports coverage.
It's great how the volleyball team never loses, just fails to advance after glorious success, and seems to be all they have to report.

Gunwalker stinks so bad even Obummer’s buddy Fidel is flouting it. Surely you jest to call this operation a “conservative” plot?
To: Rabin
So, Obama gets caught selling weapons by the thousands to the cartel, and another thousand into Honduras, and the article tries to hang it on Bush.
A couple of weapons sold is a sting operation. Thousands sold is policy. You get caught running guns, and the cover is a supposed investigation. Call the guys running the guns “investigators” and its the perfect cover.
The cartels are armed with heavy military weaponry, rocket launchers, machine guns, hand grenades. They often have the military outgunned, they usually have the police outgunned. They aren’t getting this stuff at the sporting goods store.
The Obamists are selling guns to the cartel at the same time they are accusing “America” of selling guns to the cartel. Why yes, it seems “America” is selling guns to the cartel and the individuals involved have names. Lets name them.

It wasn’t even carried out like a sting operation, unless these weapons have somehow all been tagged in a satellite-visible way.

The only way that those weapons coming from the U.S. and going to Mexico to be used by narcotraficantes could be worse for the United States would be if the federal government had arranged for those weapons to go to Mexico to be used by narcotraficantes and people found out about it. Given that Barry has, from the very beginning, been trying to undermine the reputation of the United States on the world stage, it looks as though in this case he is succeeding without having to tag anything in a satellite-visible way. This is probably just the tip of the iceberg of many, many, many similar things he has done or has put into motion to screw over what his pastor of 20 years referred to as the U.S. of KKK A.

I read in the last week that a grand total of two weapons were rigged with tracking devices.

The difference between the two countries is that our founders decided to fight instead of run away from their problems.
Furthermore, they don't come to assimilate, they come to leach.
They believe that we stole California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas from them and believe they will and should get it back.
IF they were coming to America to make a new life for themselves without sucking away the prosperity of the US by stealing Tax-Payer's money in the form of benefits they have no right for, if they were not having babies they cannot afford to take care of that the Taxpayers then have to subsidize, if they actually wanted to leave their corrupt culture behind and become Proud Americans, then you might have a point.
But all these things are true, and you do not have a point!

I guess they needed at least a few so tagged to show them that what was planned was actually working.

I read in the last week that a grand total of two weapons were rigged with tracking devices. Both of them, I believe were jury-rigged by an ATF officer, who bought GPS devices from Radio Shack with his own money.
Alas, the batteries didn't last long enough to yield any useful results.
Despite the claimed objective, there was never any serious effort to actually track the contraband. Which suggests, of course, that the "claimed objective" wasn't the real one...

Since you have actually replied to this rather dubious assertion and the original poster is apparently hiding under his desk, can you tell me what your interpretation of "suck rightist" is?
I'm just drying to know.

I actually got a Private Mail message from the poster, and like his/her post, it was hazy as well. But what I gathered from both his post and his mail message is that he/she thinks our response to Illegals coming to this country to get away from the crap in their own country is out of line.
The poster sounds like someone who lets his opinions be formed more by the Left-wing rhetoric posting as an objective opinion from the So-Called Main Stream press rather than an actual objective and accountable position on this issue.

I also have problems with the pretentiousness(sp) of poster who posts in the third person.
