MIDWAY, Ga. (AP) -- Police in Georgia have shut down a lemonade stand run by three girls trying to save up for a trip to a water park, saying they didn't have a business license or the required permits.
Midway Police Chief Kelly Morningstar says police also didn't know how the lemonade was made, who made it or what was in it.
The girls had been operating for one day when Morningstar and another officer cruised by.
The girls needed a business license, peddler's permit and food permit to operate, even on residential property. The permits cost $50 a day or $180 per year.

Then they are delusional.
When it gets to that point, the good people will be out of law enforcement and the remaining personnel will be the sickos who love power over others and/or the Vichy types that want to feather their own bed at the expense their fellow Americans.
Whether one believes it will happen or not, *if* it does happen, people should realize that the first folks on the cattle cars to the reeducation camps will be former gun owners. IOW, you will have a choice. Die keeping your guns, or plan on a life in a government run "security facility".
Once they take your guns, next stop serfdom.

You are exactly right. The police will obey orders. And don’t put your faith in “Oathkeepers” in the military, either. If the military were ordered to suppress a domestic “uprising” they WILL do so, because they are trained and conditioned to follow orders.
Oh, we are “too civilized” a society for that? Sure, Germany was considered the most “civilized” nation in Europe. But when it came down to it, the Wehrmacht “followed orders” and was complicit in stuffing Jews into mobile gas wagons. And through criminal indifference, they allowed millions of Soviet POW’s to starve to death. And at Nuremburg they bleated “but we were just following orders.” To some extent that’s a valid argument; they were following orders. The point is that they could have prevented it from happening but instead didn’t. It’s just not the nature of the police or military to concern themselves with peoples’ “rights.”
It is inherent in the nature of governments to oppress their citizens. My liberal colleagues in the criminal defense bar just can’t grasp that the government that disregards the rights of their clients is the same government that taxes, spends, confiscates and regulates to death the average free citizen.
Unfortunately, that's pretty much what the "law" says.
Here in ***, Kentucky where I live, we have Friday night gatherings with music in the city park. Some little girls have a lemonade stand in front of their house on the way to the park entrance. I have wondered for some time if some commie pinhead in the city government will try to ruin that.

Well, then let's get out the ropes and string up anyone associated with it. What? They couldn't include a provision that said that the law didn't apply to anyone or any group that does less than $300 a year (or whatever) in sales?
The f*****g politicians pass laws like drunken sailors. They are the problem; not little kids who sell lemonade.

If the lemonade stand is re-deployed without said permits I’m sure the police will be happy to tase the little girls into submission and send them to juvenile detention. Then the SWAT team will be sent in to take down the parents. If they have a dog it will be shot promptly.

Conservatives and far too many Freepers are in that very same boat... they irrationally believe the same law and order at any cost crusaders that go after dope dealers won't be used against them when the time is right.
D**N dyke harassing 3 little girls trying to earn money themselves and having *good kid fun* doing it.
They would have been proud of themselves for a good while and this *itch just had to rain on their parade.
Imagine how they feel about things now.
