"Well, Midway, Georgia is now famous, or infamous. I think a new attraction should be added to the "Liberty Trail" so as to commemorate and affirm your love of liberty: the site of the young girls' lemonade stand.

Wait until next week when the late-night comics get ahold of THIS one. I feel bad, not only for the young girls that you so ham-handedly shut down, but also for the good citizens of Midway who are going to have to deal with their city being turned into a laughingstock.

This sounds like something Barney Fife would've done on the old Andy Griffith Show.

And don’t put your faith in “Oathkeepers” in the military, either. If the military were ordered to suppress a domestic “uprising” they WILL do so, because they are trained and conditioned to follow orders.

I'm going to guess that you've never been in the US military. Yes, there are some who will shoot whomever their superior officers tell them to shoot, but, despite what people like John F'n Kerry says, there are a great many guys who join up out of actual patriotism, because they believe in the principles in our Constitution. Those guys won't be so quick to turn on their own. Furthermore, US military personnel are not "trained to follow orders" without question. In fact, it is drilled into every new recruit's brain that they will be held responsible for any illegal orders that they follow. This means that, even in a foreign country like Iraq, if your NCO tells you to go shoot that unarmed civilian, you will be subject to prosecution. It will be 10 times the concern if those civilians are their own people.

Training in the US military may change. In fact, letting open gays wear the uniform is probably part of an effort to get rid of the loyal American troops and inject hard-core leftists who don't give a damn about the Constitution or the average American or human life in general. But, for now, I would say over half are too loyal to shoot fellow Americans on our own soil.

Now cops, on the other hand, you can pretty well count on being the totalitarian shock troops, because their training has increasingly included total disregard for the rights of Americans, so having them round people up for the camps and seizing all guns won't be that big a change for them, especially if it is in the name of "officer safety".
