Sarah Palin has long refused to reveal whether or not she will run for president in next year's election. But today the former Alaska governor has revealed if she doesn't, it certainly won't be from a lack of confidence.
In an interview, the Tea Party favourite said she believes she can win a presidential election - but still refused to be drawn on whether she will launch White House campaign.
Appearing on the front cover of Newsweek for the fifth time in three years, she said: 'I believe that I can win a national election.
'I'm not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe I can win.'
It's the latest hint she may still run. The comments follow a campaign-style bus tour and, most recently, the premiere of a documentary about her life, The Undefeated, in the key election state of Iowa. Despite not having declared her candidacy, she has 16 per cent of Republican support according to the latest Gallup poll, and is second only to Mitt Romney, on 24 per cent.....

That means that there was no other candidate who was able to distinguish him/herself to the point that anybody gave $hit.
If Sarah Palin not declaring is a disadvantage to your chosen RINO, then that chosen RINO is a loser anyway and does not have a snowball's chance in Hell.
If she doesn’t run, but instead throws her support to Michelle Bachmann, I predict it will be a huge, huge boost to Bachmann. (or would that be “hugh”?)
The eneMedia is part of the Liberal establishment. The left treats elections like war. In war, you do not allow your opponent to set the rules. You do it your own way. That's what Sarah is doing.
This is why Sarah has both the liberal/progressive/commie and spineless/nutless/RINO members of the political elite freaking out.
Even Mitt Romney? He's like Obama only paler with nicer hair.
No more RINOs!
Not gonna happen, I dont believe. Palin has already pointed out Bschmans lack of experience. It would be a bit hypocritical to endorse her after highlighting that. IMHO
My wife and I had this discussion yesterday. She asked me if I would really vote third party if Romney got the nomination knowing it would most likely help Obama win a second term. I turned it around and asked her to say the words "I'd vote for Mitt Romeny." She couldn't do it.

That may be well and good, but it doesn’t remove the question whether her version of an asymmetric war makes sense. It may be pleasing to the heart of Conservatives, but does it make sense?
I agree with the War analogy, but that does not mean that the response tactic is proper. I might suggest this is more like Jousting — combatants with strategies, but the crowd draws its own conclusion in the absence of a clear skewering.
It just bothers me that Gov. Palin plays this game. And if it bothers me, a died in the wool Conservative, mightn’t it bother others?
And please, I ask the gallery not to attack my bona fides because I point out some (again) serious issues with how Gov. Palin’s approach may be problematic.
Most on FR would agree, Sarah has skewered the hell out of the eneMedia.

Do you think she would get a fair shake if she tried to play kissy face with them? Get a clue!
Instead, she has had them jumping through their own butt-holes trying to get ahead of her, AFTER they called her irrelevent.
They stack the deck against any conservative who tries to play fair. Screw that. I want her to rip their arm off and beat them with the wet end.
>> I want her to rip their arm off and beat them with the wet end.<<
I need only say “be careful what you wish for, you may get it.”
A pleasing emotional result with a negative political result is just a negative political result.
This has nothing to do with “a pleasing emotional response.” This is about stopping the presstitutes from choosing our candidate yet again.
I am merely suggesting you look at things objectively. From outside, as many people see the situation.
You left out the latter half of the equation...
>>If Sarah Palin not declaring is a disadvantage to your chosen RINO..<<
P4T, you sadly crossed the line (and may have crossed the Rubicon).
Although you have endorsed no candidate nor even suggested Gov. Palin is less than the best candidate, you have been tagged as supporting “your chosen RINO” — thus suggesting either 1) Sr. Unum can read your mind and has divined your candidate; or 2) anyone whose candidate is NOT Gov. Palin is a RINO (I beg to differ, see my tagline, but that may be a different thread).
If there is a 3rd option that I have missed, then I am open to be informed accordingly.
I can’t make heads or tails of your gibberish.
Who knows?
Are you suggesting we keep doing the same freaking thing we've been doing for the twenty years?
Insanity has been defined as doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results.
That’s what the GOP has been doing.
Sarah is changing the game. Many conservatives, particularly those on FR, really like this.

Great. Liking and results may not meet in the long run.
I just suggest people stand back and look from the long view. You get a news article that says “I can win.” You (not a Gov. Palin supporter) asks “then why are you not running?” You (as Gov. Palin supporter) may not like your (as the other person) internal answer (since Gov. Palin is not answering).
Thanks for the support. I was warned that I would be flamed for even suggesting that Mrs. Palin might be anything short of a saint.
I am suspicious by nature, but I wonder when people will begin to think Palin might be toying with her fans.
No, I don’t support RINOs. In fact, even though I volunteered for the campaign of GWB the first time he ran, I did not vote for him the 2nd time, nor did I vote for McCain. If that is the best the Republicans can do, we might as well resign ourselves to an increasingly out-of-control government.
Your use of the term “ your chosen RINO” suggests anyone who doesn’t support YOUR candidate (in this case Gov. Palin) is supporting a RINO.
Is that understandable and is there any other possible interpretation?
I really don’t give a damn.
>>Thanks for the support. I was warned that I would be flamed for even suggesting that Mrs. Palin might be anything short of a saint.<<
You can also climb aboard as “a victim” for pointing out yuo are getting flamed.
I go on these threads to help supporters see the broader picture but it is really for the open-eyed like you that I post.
I have coined the term Reverse-PDS — I think it applies.
Soon this thread will be useless. The Gov. Palin supporters will arrive en legion, and will say that anyone who suggests realpolitik may be in play or that Gov. Palin may not run (or other mortal sins) are liberals, RINO-supporters (you, clearly, were the first of these), liberal operatives, “victims” (for pointing out reality), socialists, communists, rustlers, cutthroats, murders, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con-men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglars, horse thieves, bull-dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, sh**-kickers, and (worst of all) Methodists.
