Palin Quote in Meet the Press from her interview with Newsweek:

“The people of America are desperate for postitive change, and deserving of positive change... I’m not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe that I can win.”

Good timing.

America in a budget crisis with weak Republicans (at best) at the helm. Along comes someone strong and upbeat.

Great timing.

Correction, it took a few link clicks but the actual article is online here:
Palin Plots Her Next Move (July 10, 2011 Newsweek)

OHHH, OHHH, get this : If Palin doesn’t end up running, the reason will be simple, she said. “Family. If it came down to the family just saying, ‘Please, Mom, don’t do this,’ then that would be the deal-killer for me, because your family’s gotta be in it with you.”

I wouldn’t care if she looked like Helen Thomas’ little sister, the ugly one in the family. If Sarah runs, I’ll support her 100%!

No, that’s not the most flattering photo of her ever taken. But...the look in those eyes, and the set of that jaw, and the overall pose of confidence, just make her look like somebody not to be messed with. I think it’s a lot better than the Runner’s World photos or some of the other publicity shots she’s done...because it makes her look Presidential.

So declare already. I dealt with enough flakey girls before that I now make my own plans instead of waiting on them.

It doesn't help that they tilted her off kilter (referring to the distant shoreline made precisely horizontal in this modification):

But this is the first picture I've ever seen of her with anything approaching a smirking sneer. Also rather pale, washed out, and harshly lit.

Well, if it were me, and I have a bit of slyness in my genes, I would make an announcement on Odumba’s coming 50th birthday as a special gift.

Damn, that's a sexy picture of Palin. Her husband sure is a lucky man. Now if we can get so lucky to have her lead this country out of the destruction Obama is leading us into. Guaranteed, Newsweek will sell out this issue is nothing flat.

Is there a typo on the cover?

Shouldn't it say:"Sarah Palin on why she's so confident- and how she'll decide whether to run AGAIN in 2012"

seriously, I can't imagine four more years with an idiot in the White house...

sorry...that heavy jaw and large face just does not look right. They must have manipulated the head to be larger in proportion to the body. unnecessary photoshopping

Sarah is pretty good at being in control. I doubt this cover was released until she approved it. If not, it really is not too bad...please stop giving the DU ammunition. Sarah is a natural beauty, and they can’t erase that even if they try.

RE: Shopping and subtle propaganda

Every pic in a print publication is shopped to some degree, but the basic photo itself can be greatly affected by the lens used by the photog to begin with.

That said, I think it’s a safe bet that the graphic artist was under orders to make her look ‘less appealing’ so he set about doing a lot of subtle little things... But so what? Shallow crap like that is what the left cares about. The left wants their heroes ready for a spread in Playboy or a walk down the red carpet.

SP is a woman in her mid-40s and IMO she has aged spectacularly well. Again, so what? There’s not one of us here that would ‘not’ vote for her based on looks. We love her for her mind ;)

Let SnoozeWeak have their little jabs. All it does is make us all the more determined to see President Palin elected.
