Polls show there's an anti-Mormon bias among voters - especially Democrats, more than a quarter of whom say they wouldn't vote for a Mormon. But this video of a Memphis Fox affiliate ridiculing Mitt Romney about his religion is a real wake-up call [video]. The whole news segment appears to be about Mormonism and the 2012 election, but skip ahead to the 3:20 mark for the worst of it [video].

It’s a major factor with Romney and the leadership of his organization..as you likely know. And that’s the problem...people are not familiar with the political agenda this organization...and Romney’s their Guy to being it on home.
I chuckle when people say how friendly and nice Mormons are...well they are....but Eve thought the same in the garden too...but she was equally as deceived as those who cannot understand why his religion matters.
I dont give a hoot about the mans religion and anyone that does is a fool in my book.

Then call me a fool, but I DO care, because I used to be Mormon and I know how Mormonism made Romney who he is and how his politics reflect the Mormon mindset (see tagline). I also care because I work hard at reaching the LDS and trying to convert them to Christianity.
Perhaps only if you have been there can you see it, but it is not foolish to consider religious views and mindset in evaluating how a person would govern.
Mormonism gets mocked in FR too.
Mormonism is worthy of discussion and debate but it often gets smeared for being too conservative by liberals.
Well I guess that means in that at least one respect, his faith, Mitt Romney is “conservative.”
Too bad he isn’t when it comes to policy, then I might consider voting for the guy, which I never will considering his flop flopping liberal Republican record.
The line must be drawn in the sand.
I have no need to hate anyone, including Mitt Romney.
But principle demands a firm stand against the slow motion destruction of this country represented by Obamalite Mitt Romney.
The media aren't so much anti-Mormon as they are practiced at their art of supporting only the left. The two important facts about the media and religion are 1) they don't like anyone who believes in God or anything other than the most abstract way and 2) they make a point of mocking anyone who is Catholic, a Fundamentalist, or any other traditional Bible Believing Church, because they know they can divide Christian conservatives. No matter what church a conservative goes to there are other conservatives who will refuse to vote to them due to their being a part of that church.
The media beating on the religion or religious outlook of a conservative candidate is just another of the divide and conquer tactics they always apply and that always works for them. If they don't think they can peel away a lot of support mocking the religion of a conservative, they'll make a bit of noise about it, then gather all the information they can about it to use later when they accuse the conservative of doing something that contradicts their religion. Any way they can, they make use of the fact that a significant number of conservatives are more likely to refuse to vote for specific sorts of fellow Christians than they are to vote for Secular Humanist who says "my faith is very important to me" but otherwise is obviously not putting their faith into practice.
Well, we won’t be supporting him or any other abortionist/statist on FR under any circumstances whatsoever.
As I said in a previous post, the Lord is listening and He will deal with us all as He sees fit. It ia not up to me to judge people, He is the Just Judge. It is up to me tp pray for their conversion, and so penance for all who are blind.
I do not like Romneys politics by any means, but as far as his religion, that is between him and God. His will be done in all things.
The headline is misleading. The tasteless goofball with the remote mic was syndicated radio host and commentator, Ben Ferguson. It was the TV Station’s choice to invite the outside political opinion, but much worse has been done in the past, and it is likely this is just a small blip compared to what is ahead leading up to November of next year.
Yeah, and we wouldn’t have to shell out all that money for lavish vacations. There is only so far one can travel in a horse-drawn buggy. ;-)
As if he believed this “Dark Ages” church refrained from teaching the list of facts about Jesus Christ that he says he despises modern Christianity for. It didn’t. Things like the trinity, the uncreated Son, the fact the Son took on a body to live as Jesus of Nazareth on earth but does not always live in that fashion. The “Dark Ages” church knew and taught about those very well. Those are not new claims that popped up in the Reformation.

Actually God could care less about elections in America...
He doesnt fall off His throne each time someone prints the truth about Willie Mitty’s liberal record...
He’s more concerned that Willie Mitty is responsible for tens of thousands of abortions...
Thats where God gets involved...
Not in a few words during a political cycle...
But in the murder of the innocent babies..;...
I wouldn’t vote for a Mormon either, unless he is running against Urkel.
If Mormons are happy with fellow Mormons supporting human sacrifice and building a huge secular humanist state it just proves that they aren't as Christian as they say they are. There's plenty of reason to not support this idiot without getting into issues that divide conservatives over religion. Given his “all things to all people” style when he was in office, he can't take being a Mormon all that seriously anyway other probably thinking he well deserves to be a god one day.
Neither is Orin Hatch’s faith ridiculed, derided, mocked or spoofed.
The only reason this reporter mocked Romney is because he matters in the 2012 election.
Should Romney become a threat to Obama’s re-election, Romney’s faith will be attacked further, and all of America will hear about polygamy and Mormonism’s peculiar history when it comes to race. Should he gain more attraction and people consider him as a viable candidate, his faith will be on full display with the MSM.
And Obama will be laughing with glee.
Agreed. And I don’t hate Romney, but I dont’ trust him either, nor do I really like him.
What irks me is how many ppl, even here on FR, have bought the notion that our choice will only be Romney or Obama. We need a conservative candidate.
Christians sow divisions among fellow Christians and the democrat fascists reap the harvest.

You are assuming Mormons are Christians. They are not, not by a long shot.
