If you walked past the White House right now, Id wager youd hear champagne glasses clinking.
No, that’s reserved for Nancy Reagan.

Yes, I too have little doubt that the President and First Lady are celebrating the death of an old woman who fought cancer for God knows how long.
How much do you want to bet that should Barbara Bush die, the Obamas will throw a garden party? Maybe a parade?
I’m not a fan of Obama’s politics either, but damn, there’s a time and a place and this ain’t it.

A great women...but even so, when one steps into the realm of politics, one has to consider the LONG-TERM effects of their positions.
I’ll leave it at that.

The Betty Ford Center has been one of the greatest organization. A great lady...living a nice, full life. She is now with her Gerald. Prayers for the family. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Ford.

As I recall, she was somewhat of a character. I remember she could be pretty funny at times.
Very classy couple we had in the WH with Mr. and Mrs. Ford

She championed legalizing abortion.
Other than that biggie...seems like she did a lot of good.

“old woman”
I think you mean “old white woman”.
But even more likely, Bambi and Moosechelle are busy partying, and just said, “Who?”

Few people have had to battle their private demons in so public a manner. She turned it to a positive. Rest in Peace, Betty.

She really was an extraordinary woman, who lived very publicly through some of our country’s and her own most trying days. She emerged with enormous dignity on all fronts.
May her soul find eternal peace.

RIP Mrs. Ford. Not only did she do much to help people suffering from addiction, and breast cancer, her clinic did a lot for the economy of the area, which was empty desert before she built it next to Eisenhower hospital.
