There is a laundry list of issues that may lead to Barack Obama being a one-term president. There's his massive, debt-financed spending plans designed to boost the economy that, of course, failed. There's his seemingly incoherent foreign policy. There's his complete grasp of how jobs are created. But there is another issue that is waiting to explode. Obama's administration has been involved in the idiotic plan of allowing American guns to be sold to Mexican drug dealers. These guns were used to kill an American Border Patrol Agent. So... what did Obama know, and when did he know it?
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) is chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. This committee is tasked with investigating the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) and their so-called sting known as Operation Fast and Furious. Issa is trying to figure out which Obama official authorized the program in which "purchasers were allowed to buy guns in the U.S. -- in some cases, with taxpayer money, Issa said -- and then send those guns to Mexican drug cartels."
As CNSNews.com reports, the operation was established "to track the guns to see where they'd end up, but Issa says tracking devices were not put on most of the guns:"
"With only two exceptions where they put tracking devices on (the guns) was there any physical tracking beyond basically a few hours of following the first car, at most. In one case, they did watch (the guns) go on a GPS device quite a ways into Mexico, but of course they didn't inform the Mexican officials, and they didn't have a team on the other side of the border to follow it, so at some point the signal simply disappeared."
In December 2010, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered. At the scene were two rifles that were sold to a smuggler through the ATF's Fast and Furious program.

In this operation, which began in the fall of 2009 and continued into early 2011, the federal government purposefully allowed known or suspected gun smugglers to purchase guns at federally licensed firearms dealers in Arizona. The government did not seek to abort these gun purchases, intercept the smugglers after the purchases, or recover the guns they had purchased. In some cases, as the government expected they would, the smugglers delivered the guns to Mexico drug traffickers.
Can you say INSANITY? The Obama administration puts together a program to track guns all the way to the bad guys, but doesn't actually track the guns and certainly doesn't get the bad guys. They basically made it easier for Mexican drug smugglers to get guns... guns that were used to kill an American!

CNSNews.com's White House correspondent asked a simple question during a recent press briefing: What was the exact date that Obama learned about the ATF operation. Here's the response:
And so we have a program that was designed to fail... a program that purposely allowed guns to get into the hands of Mexican drug dealers. Aren't liberals supposed to be in favor of stronger gun control? Does that only apply to Americans and not to guns being used against Americans?
As Issa commented in the CNSNews.com story, "Because the operation involved wiretaps and other agencies -- including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the U.S. Attorney's office in Arizona -- Issa said it's clear to him that the guns-to-Mexico operation goes to the 'highest levels' of the Justice Department."
This program is so plain stupid that it smacks of Obama thinking it up himself. What did he know, and when did he know it? Those are the questions.

I blame George Bush for not exposing this evil man for what he truly is, back in 2007-2008. In that sense, Bush betrayed his Oath. 0bama is an enemy of the United States and nothing was done to prevent him from from attaining office as it should have been.

True, but I found it interesting that At the link in this post, http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2745997/posts?page=21#21 David Ogden referred to the operation as "Gunrunner". You'd think he'd get the name right, so either there is another one, or he slipped, knowing full well the purpose of it. He also stated the 10 million was going to the ATF for the op and that Obama ordered it.

For them to 'get away with it' all that need happen is for America to get tied up feeling righteous outrage at the death of one toddler, and ignore the murders of hundreds with weapons our government allowed to end up in the hands of the murderers, paid for by our money, for the purpose of taking our rights.
If you listen to DAG David Ogden’s description of the new elements they are introducing to Gunrunner they exactly match the things that have been established to be elements of Fast and Furious. The $10 million in Recovery Funds, the additional DEA agents, the additional ATF agents and so on. They hadn’t come up with a new name yet but those things are all exact figures of money and agents known to be the facets of Fast and Furious.
GunRUNNER was started under bush. Those weapons were tracked witth GPS devices. obama and company changed the rules and Fast and Furious became an op where agents were specifically ordered to back off and NOT track the weapons. GunWALKER is the name Codrea and Vanderboegh gave to the project.
Simply stated several Federal Law enforcement agencies have been engaged in aiding & abetting the arming of organized criminal entrprises/cartels/mafias.
These assorted govt. agencies had multiple meetings, e-mails , briefings discussing & coordinating the efforts to get guns across the border and to stifle dissent from govt. LEO’s.
Only a village idiot can believe that all these govt. agencies all decided to all violate laws regarding aiding organized crime all at the same time & to coordinate their efforts all without orders & approval from their superiors.
They are already being found involved in the drug trade in this country . Phoenix PD had a traffic stop recently & found 48 guns all from F&F.
Progressives only do things that are good for mankind. They are wise, kind, brilliant, all-knowing and worthy of the respect and deference of the entire population.
It is Conservatives who are evil, who have to be watched at every turn and held to a higher standard and it is only Conservatives and Conservative Republicans who can be justifiably criticized in the press and driven from office.

Fast and Furious is a gift from Obama we should not squander. I hope Issa slow walks his inquiry. Plan the hearings and revelations such that a Contempt of Congress citation is issued against Holder next August. Follow that with his prosecution and careful leaks that implicate Obama all the way up to the election.
Two can play the October surprise game. Let's do it.

I won't try to predict what the Old Media will do. Their influence is on the wane everyday anyway.
In the big picture, we have never impeached and convicted a President. Rat Senators stated they didn't care about the evidence, they would not convict Bent Willie who perjured himself in office. So, IMHO, impeachment is a waste of time.
We can politically knock off Hussein with a thousand cuts. Carefully planned revelations from Issa’s committee will do what neither impeachment nor a special prosecutors could do.
If Obama knew about it and allowed it to continue (much less ordered it), he is personally party to a FELONY—specifically violation of the U.S. Code regarding straw purchases of firearms—and ought to be impeached.
Obama is also party to a CRIME for his role in the “Dinner with Barack” illegal Internet gambling activities of 2007, which MN law enforcement said specifically were against the law.
