(Washington, DC) -- Republican congressional leaders are reportedly agreeing to billions of dollars in revenue increases as federal deficit discussions continue.
Republican Senator Jon Kyl announced the move today saying revenue increases don't necessarily mean tax hikes.
On the Senate floor Kyl said, quote, "If the government sells something and gets revenue from it, that's revenue."
He also suggested user fees for government services could provide additional revenue.
He says all the revenue increases Republicans have agreed to amount to between 150 billion and 200 billion dollars.
The GOP does not deserve to exist anymore.
The little piggies are liars and traitors
both to America and the very voters
who foolishly put them into power. They should
be indicted for fraud and misprision of felony.
It's amazing how many times people can be lied to, robbed and gang raped by this ruling class oligarchy.
Yea I guess sometimes I go off half cocked until I check out the story! I guess this one proved to be false!
Kyl is not running for reelection.
I thought the Repubs said “We have a spending problem, not a revenue problem.”
They could start by putting the Ellis Island and Angel Island Immigration Stations on the block; they sure don’t need them anymore, since abolishing the concept of ‘borders’.
I agree that selling food stamps at 50 cents on the dollar would raise revenue and cut entitlements.
:>)
What have a “woman” to clean up this “mess” means is a bit disturbing from a FReeper, too. We don't judge on sex or color.
I can't imagine why most people don't trust a word those in government say...You know, after being hood winked, lied to and economically gang raped and robbed 10,000 times, all while being force to bail out the corrupt banksters and fat corps to the tune of multiple trillions...
Ya, sure....Lets give them the benefit of the doubt...Give um another chance to get something right, don't go off half cocked...No reason to fly off the handle...Lets politely stand by and wait to hear from the ruling class.
Riiight.
Rabscuttle was correct. You can either retract your sexist statement, or you can continue to call him name like “pissant”.
Your post is nonsense.
State parks are set up by states, and managed by states.
National parks are funded by the federal government, and there is upkeep for roads, lodging, etc. in each national park.
I happen to think that privatizing some national parks would be a good idea, but then again, that would mean turning some of those parks into Disneyland.
he’s a US Senator: he’s part of the “spineless society”
Does Hazel also smoke cigars? If not, then she isn't "man" enough to be president.
[Mr] T
There is a subliminal message in here somewhere.
Pissant Rabscuttle385 did ignore my previous post, since in it, I refuted his claim that people were only voting for Palin because she is female, instead of her accomplishments.
I posted nothing divisive about gender.

Rabscuttle is wrong and is a PDS sufferer, irrespective of whatever other topics he posts on.
I made no sexist statement, but he did: he claimed that people only like Palin due to her sex. Which is by definition sexist.
I posted a refutation, that people approve of her acts while Governor of Alaska. By definition, NOT sexist.
Whether I continue to call him "pissant" depends on his behaviour in the future.
Cheers!
>such as entering a national park, then those fees should be adjusted to the current fair market value of the service being supplied - in precisely the same way that a private business would adjust its prices.
Completely false.
Those “employees” are government workers paid by the taxpayers. There is nothing in your example that is NOT paid for by taxpayers & the “adjustment” is not in accordance with free market principles at all. - It is simply political theft writ large.
If the fees are the kind which involve park entrance fees which haven't been raised in decades, I can certainly live with that. Why wouldn't these kind of fees get raised along with inflation?
If it's the kind of fee that's attached to a monthly phone bill that is more like a tax and not so great.
But, again, if the GOP is getting trillions of cuts in return and Obama talking cutting Medicare, Social Security then the GOP is getting the major portion of what they want and good for them.
I am close to throwing the GOP overboard with the 'rats...and have a whole lot of them...but had hoped this last bunch would have gotten the message.
Maybe they are all pawns of the globalists and are driving us to a one world coinage/government. I DO believe my bible...so who's to say this isn't how it happens...via conspiracy.
Good point.
So what should happen to all the prime real estate owned by Amtrak? It should remain a drag on national resources perpetually?
