Nike re-signed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick to an endorsement deal Friday, nearly four years after dropping him amid his legal troubles.

I'm only surprised Nike too so long to bring him on board.
What a joke.
too=took
Why?
Nike re-signs Vick. This is why I fully expect Obama to be reelected. As a society we have become shallow and our memories short.
lol- predicable
No more Nike products in my house. If you don’t think Vick would still be torturing bulldogs if he hadn’t got caught, I have a bridge I can sell ya....
That’s because you’re an idiot.
Another one that loves seeing all the people killed by this worthless POS breed of animal.
“As a society we have become shallow and our memories short.”
Very well put.
A great share of the American population is more interested in who’s gonna win “American Idol” or clambering (sp?) over the newest iPhone release than in what their elected officials are doing.
I work with a sport that Nike supplies; I have to wear the goods.
I have to find a way to protest this.
Nike alone should be punsished for the spectacularly ugly uniform designs they come up with for the University of Oregon.
Outrageous. These go back to the store first thing Tuesday. And this time I mean it.
I bet someone is going to feel like it’s ironic. I just got done on a thread saying that animals do have a right if a local or state government feels fits to prevent a owner of a animal like a dog from inflicting pain on it. However, what’s interesting is that a guy who severed actual prision time who to everyone’s most upmost obsevations has been repentent regarding his past transgressions, continues to be villified regarding that. So he’s not allowed to make money anymore because of a past sin? Do we really know if he’s tuely repentant? Of course not... however, it’s reasonable to concluded that Vick regardless of what he’s done is allowed the chance to prove he’s a better person.
"I don't always torture dogs to death, but when I do I wear Nikes."
"Stay (blood)thirsty, my friends."
All it means is that he is a free man.
Nike is simply shoving it in our face, like we HAVE to forget what he did.
A criminal needs to show he has changed over time, not just when there is a financial incentive to do so.
I boycotted Nike decades ago :p
You’re free to defend Vick, see that dogs are tortured and killed and buy all the Nikes you can stuff in your house. You can do all that with my blessing. What would be really nice is if you could refrain from calling other FReepers idiots and posting over the top accusations.
Cuz he sed, “I sorry fo wut I’z did 2 da dawgz.”
