I grill meat maybe 6-10 times a year, I don’t really care.

I like my steaks and beef with the moo barely out of it.

In fact, I enjoy beef raw; sprinkle a bit of garlic salt and onion powder on it and it’s good to go.

But according to the ad on Rush’s show, we should boil. LOL!

They spoke of Cholesterol with no less authority than they use here. I did not stop eating eggs. I will not stop eating meat. The more searing the temp the better. In six minuets when my son finishes his bottle we shall be off to the grandparents to eat seared meat. Ahhhh, life is good.

Happy 4th of July!

From the article:

“As scientists try to sort this out, there are a number of ways to reduce the HCA content of cooked meat....

Studies have shown that microwaving meat for a few minutes prior to barbecuing can cut down on the number of HCAs produced by as much as 90%.”

No thanks, I’ll take my chances with the real BBQ.

The health beef over barbecued meat, ..... increase cancer risk in unsuspecting patriots, thanks in part to chemical compounds formed when meats ... — are cooked at very high temperatures.

The author must be a Yankee. "Barbeque", by definition, is "Low and Slow".

Okay - we’ll just grill tofu instead.

I’d rather die from eating ribs than tofu. Either way I’m going eventually, may as well enjoy myself in the meantime.

So may Calamity Janes, so many still living elderly people who pay them no attention. My dad is 86. He’s had his fair share of BBQs.

If I paid attention every time these people open their mouths, I’d be sitting in a padded room buckled to the floor.

"compounds in the charred parts of cooked fish and meat were capable of damaging cellular and bacterial DNA in test tube experiments."

One man's damage is another man's fortunate mutation. Maybe cooking meat over fires led to man's rise...

Oh the humanity. I'm terrified, I tell ya'...now if you'll excuse me, I have to make hotel reservations for this October: BARBECUE FESTIVAL!
Don't get between me and the front door of the Lexington Barbecue, ya' hear?

Why do these self-appointed food Nazis make it sound like Americans would live forever were it not for their disastrous food choices? Someone needs to inform them no one lives forever. I, for one, will continue to enjoy grilled and barbequed meat until I take my last breath. As a friend once told me: Eat right, exercise... die anyway.

The Ad Counsil just started running radio ads urging people to boil their steaks. The first time I heard the spot, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

If you want to live a long and healthy life.....then pick the right parents before you are born.

Good genes beat clean living every time.

On a more analytical note, this is really another example of a disturbed outlook of our obsessed culture where we must make everything in life 100% risk free. My personal opinion is that these thinkers feel guilt and angst if they have any pleasure or enjoyment in life. It’s sinful (in a liberal, secular way) to have pleasurable experiences in life.

Well we all gotta die of something sometime, perhaps in the coming R2/CW2, so enjoy the grilled meat with a martini and cigar in the meantime!

Meat on the grill is as much a part of the Fourth of July as fireworks and American flags

No wonder the Food Nazis hate it, then.

It should be noted that the harmful organic compunds in grilled meat are all easily diluted in an alcohol solution.

Cheers!
