Dominique Strauss-Kahn's accuser wasn't just a girl working at a hotel -- she was a working girl.
The Sofitel housekeeper who claims the former IMF boss sexually assaulted her in his room was doing double duty as a prostitute, collecting cash on the side from male guests, The Post has learned.
"There is information . . . of her getting extraordinary tips, if you know what I mean. And it's not for bringing extra f--king towels," a source close to the defense investigation said yesterday.
The woman was allegedly purposely assigned to the Midtown hotel by her union because it knew she would bring in big bucks.
"When you're a chambermaid at Local 6, when you first get to the US, you start at the motels at JFK [Airport]. You don't start at the Sofitel," the source said. "There's a whole squad of people who saw her as an earner."
The woman also had "a lot of her expenses -- hair braiding, salon expenses -- paid for by men not related to her," the source said.
Allegations that she worked as a hotel hooker may explain why Strauss-Kahn insists their encounter was consensual. His defense attorneys refused yesterday to comment on the damning evidence -- or say whether he paid her for sex.
Sources also told The Post Strauss-Kahn's probers uncovered evidence that she was part of a pyramid scheme that targeted immigrants from her native Guinea.
"We have people who have been victimized, who have claimed she ripped them off. Nice working people from her neighborhood," a source said.
The stunning new info surfaced yesterday as the accuser was unmasked as a pathological liar and scam artist by prosecutors whose rape case has unraveled.

Under the bus...
Amazing if all this is true about this nice Muslim immigrant (via gaining asylum) maid/housekeeper...... and I think it is. Does anyone immigrate to America these days who is not hip deep in scams to “earn” extra off the books money?
So now we know that the Frog didn’t rape her he just wouldn’t pay her.
But why accuse a john if ya want to keep raking in the bucks?
Defense attorneys and unnamed sources?
If this were true, she wouldn’t have cried “rape”. It ain’t like this fact wouldn’t come out eventually.
Maybe she raked in bucks by accusing him.
“
Ever since the news first broke on Sunday, May 15, the notion that it was all a setup meant to bring down Strauss-Kahn has spread like wildfire, especially on the Internet. The world of imagination being boundless, each theory brought forward seems more surprising than the other: they point to the CIA or rivals inside the IMF, to big American banks or financial interests threatened by Strauss-Kahn’s push for more regulation, to murky schemes by some “black Cabinet” working for Nicolas Sarkozy at the Élysée Palace or even to Socialist Party rivals only too eager to get rid of a dangerous candidate ahead of the 2012 presidential elections. “

That’s the big question.
It was ruled years ago that it is possible for a prostitute to be raped. Also, I believe Dominique was known for his fondness for rough sex (IIRC, some madams would not send hookers to him, and one of the women he assaulted in France - who never pressed charges - described him as being “like a rutting chimp”) so the whole matter of consent may not have occurred to him or even mattered to him.
I certainly can’t see any reason for her to ruin the good thing she had going by turning on a john. She could have extorted money from him based on the incident, of course, but the involvement of the police and the criminal case made that impossible.
The rape narrative.
Mind numbingly predictable. It's a part of the progessive bundle whether it's a justificattion for kinetic action , immigration amnesty or to bring down a political opponent. In Obama's 'Checkers' speech last week he checked it off, just a throway line about using rape as warfare. Just an aside but, he had to include it .
Maybe she wanted more cash because she provided some additional service and he said..screw you which she replied, you already did.
Or is she a victim of the American Sex Slave Trade? Immigrants being brought to America, by unions with the promise of freedom and big bucks? I'll hold my judgment until the facts are fully revealed.
The wife says it’s all good, the beotch set him up.
The left once again caught in a morality moment, goes after the accuser instead of the criminal.
How Clintonesque..
It is my understanding that the accuser has applied for asylum in the US. Something to do with her immigration status. If someone in that status is a victim of certain crimes then the asylum is almost assured.
I am sure that being unfamiliar with the way US law and lawyers work that she didn’t thing through the whole episode. She would have been further ahead to do this to someone with fewer resources so the ensuing investigation would not be as thorough.
You are all noticing the line about her UNION pimping her out...right...?
Once again life imitates art.
I think it is all some what sophisticated.
Kahn has a history of assaulting women, that’s a fact.
So now we have a whole raft of charges against the hotel worker that has quickly gone to prostitution.
Knowing the power these people have in every way imaginable, I have to wonder if these charges against her are real or a convenient way to clear the garbage from the path of Kahn, a probable French presidential candidate.
Nothing is ever quite what it seems.
It also is unimaginable that someone who can afford to call a Manhattan callgirl would simply take the services of a maid in a hotel who hasn’t been checked for HIV or other diseases. Claiming she is a prostitute is a good way to explain away the semen stains. She is HIV positive, I read.
so the labor unions have take prostitutes under their wing?
