The people who are afraid of her are the ones who will attack her.

She did well in her first debate and she presents herself well, but the ‘surge’ has come primarily from an extraordinary cross-media boosting of her as a candidate. I mean, Chris Friggin’ Matthews has been touting her for weeks now!
Sure, they’re starting to identify the handles by which they’ll jerk her back down to earth when the time is right, but nothing is making Mitt, the GOP Establishment or the Dems happier right now than to try to make Palin ‘irrelevant’ with the Bachmann option.

The Media in this country is liberal to the Nth. degree.
They will attack anything Conservative.
The Media likes Mitt Romney—think about that for a minute.

She’s brought some of it on herself by drifting off the topic with bizarre references to history and John Wayne, bad geography, irrelevant stuff that she only makes relevant by getting it wrong.
She’s good when she stays on the issues. She stinks at glad-handing forays. And if we want someone who knows history and what the founding fathers REALLY thought, we have an actual history professor in the race to back—and no one is backing Newt.
Whenever Bachmann stops pounding the issues she makes herself vulnerable.

There’s an old adage in politics: “I don’t care what the write about me as long as they spell my name right.”. That’s Bachmann with two “n’s”.

No difference than how the liberal media treats a conservative black. The point is this: If you're a woman or a black, or a Hispanic in America, you are not enough of a “human” to be allowed to have an opinion of your own. You must parrot liberal dogma or the Left will destroy you. It's no different than it was when the Democrat-run Ku Klux Klan was a dark cloud over the lives of southern Americans. Woman and minorities are the “property” of the Left...do what they say, and say what they tell you to say, or you are to be destroyed. The mentality of Democrats toward woman and minorities hasn't changed in generations. The only updates for Democrats since the days of white hoods and sheets are the tools they use to destroy people.

Sometimes the media overplays its hand. This is one of those times.
Many saw it with Palin and thought maybe it was a one time thing because Palin was from Alaska and didn’t have an Ivy league degree, she was a rube and deserved it, blah, blah.
But Bachmann has impressive credentials that measure up to the standards of the most elite, so she shouldn’t be treated with similar scorn.
When it’s a one time thing, people believe it’s because of the person. When it happens over and over again, it loses its effect because people realize it’s just an MO.

This tactic is so 20th century. It’s not working anymore. We just LOL at them.

I wish that were true. But the media did the same thing to Clarance Thomas and we that that they'd “overplayed their hand” then. We thought the media had over-played their hand when they printed cartoons of Secretary Rice, depicted as a monkey. We thought the liberals overplayed their hand when threw Oreos at Michael Steele, for daring to be a black man expressing an opinion that he wasn't given by the liberals. We thought they overplayed their hand when they exposed Congressman Allen West's social security number in a campaign flyer.
We always think the left has overplayed their hand, until they move on from the racist/sexist/bigoted act of the day, and on to the next victim.

Just as long as they are talking about her, it improves her name ID, it is a true win, win on her part.

Bachman and Palin both “stink” to the leftists.

She needs to be ready to challenge any media any time they come after her. Answer their question with a question that questions their motive and show they are not just biased but BIGOTED.

Bachmann supporters better gear up, because this is just the tip of the iceberg. The media is playing a delicate balancing act of building her up to the GOP base while simultaneously making sure they have the tools to destroy her when the time is right. Make no doubt about it -- they want Romney, and they're using Bachmann to "clear the decks" of any credible conservative challenger.
The irony is that those who see Bachmann as the more credible alternative to Palin because of the media attackas against Palin will see those same tactics turned full-force on Bachmann the moment she's done the job of crowding out any other possible challenge to Romney from the right.

Actually Bachmann has zero executive experience and her credentials don’t hold up to ‘sophisticated’ standards even as well as Palin’s do. Bachmann and her husband have a “Christian counseling service”? Her law school was Oral Roberts? As an attorney the best work she could get was with the IRS?
Bachmann dresses closer to the East Coast conservative business woman standard than Palin. (Actually, she does a fantastic job of that!) But Palin has a more tolerant, libertarian-leaning flavor to her politics that wears much better with the Coastal set. There can be something of a back-to-nature chic to some of the Palins’ lifestyle that resonates on that level as well.
Bachmann doesn’t have the working class taint that Palin does, by those standards, but she’s lower-middle, culturally, at best.
And Palin’s political accomplishments, from the local to state and now national level, dwarf those of a Congressional back-bencher just starting in her third term.

In my opinion there is nothing "orchestrated" about the mainstream media. Groupthink...yes! Orchestrated...no!
The media sheep sound more like the orchestra trying to tune up before the play starts...random notes from every direction.
The "groupthink" is a liberal trademark...jungle law. One jerk throws a spear, they all throw a spear.
What it's really beginning to look like is, the same media that has been scolding America since the 70's for being "chauvenists", are they-themselves the biggest roadblock America has ever known for womens rights (and equal rights of all persuasions).
They have shacked up with the old line politicians in DC and they obviouslyl prefer that a guy be the candidate...I think because the sissification of the males in this country has produced candidates that will not stand up to the media. I've never see such a cadre of scared males in my life as those in our Federal Government.
Meanwhile, the press is busy with the Windex, polishing up the "glass ceiling" so you can't see it, even though it's still there.
If Palin decides to run, that giant sucking sound you will then hear will be the media maggots rushing over to her camp to try and dig up more dirt on her.
America's pulitizer-pundits are obsessed with the one-big-story to excite their career. In the past 30 years everyone and their brother has gone into the media...it's a crowded field and very competitive. For one of them to rise above the pack, they'll keep digging dirt until their tools are no longer "shovel ready".
I'm sure they have a long, long list of things to attack Conservative candidates with, with each one having a ENTER CANDIDATE'S NAME HERE line to make it totally universal.
Maybe if Sarah is not going to run, she could just drive by a Bachmann campaign stop in her buss, and watches the mediamoochers don their pink scarves, hop on their pink, Vestpa, motor scooters, and chase the Palin bus.

Of all the GOP candidates currently in the race I like Bachmann the best. The fact that the Media is attacking her relentlessly tells me that I have made a good choice. No way am I going to let the Media pick the GOP candidate like they did in 2008.

All the cases you mentioned involved black conservatives. When reasonable people of all races see the ridiculous acts you mentioned, they react negatively, not positively. Sharpton and Jackson are regarded as jokes. Most people view it as racist pandering, which it clearly is.
