CBN's David Brody interview Michele Bachmann in Iowa tonight, where she insists she 'likes' Sarah Palin and downplays reports, including by POLITICO, about jockeying between the two women:
Brody: Set the record straight with us on your relationship with Sarah Palin because the media wants to pit you, if not pit you against Sarah Palin they certainly want to compare you two. And Im wondering how you see it specifically as it relates to Governor Palin.
Bachmann: I like her a lot. Were friends. I have great admiration for her, great respect for her, and weve never had a cross word between us. We are friends. And I think that youre right, I think thats a fiction from the media. I doubt that the Governor feels that way, it certainly doesnt reflect my view, and I only wish her well in what shes doing right now.

“and I only wish her well in what shes doing right now”
That’s funny! Right now Palin’s not a candidate.
Whether Gov. Palin runs, or not,
Ms. Bachmann-Rollins is now exposed as a treacherous
backstabber.
Wait. She was an IRS lawyer ... for the IRS.
Everyone thinks she helped the PEOPLE.
Nope. She helped the IRS.
Now she works with Romney and Rollins against the PEOPLE.
Hogwash! MB owes SP an apology...period
Ping a ling
Then there are those who have gone totally over the edge in their monomanical adoration.
The key indicator that you're a member of the second group is that you view every person in American life through a one colored filter:
How They Treatin' Our Sarah????
Nothing else they do or say is worth spit if they do even the slightest thing which fails to boost Palin.
Scott Rasmussen runs a poll which does not include her? Outcast! Unclean!
Michele Bachmann's campaign staffer mildly disses Sarah? RINO! Mittlicker!
Charles Krauthammer fails to genuflect on the Fox News panel? Elitist! Traitor!
Brit Hume reminds his audience that Palin shouldn't be considered a candidate until she, you know, announces? Moderate!! Appeaser!!
These people and all the rest of our conservative political and pundit classes don't wake up every morning thinking "how can I help destroy Palin today?" some Freepers' fantasies to the contrary.
Sarah Palin has a great life story, and I love the way she pisses off all the people I love to see pissed off. In the final analysis she's a politician though, and no politician is above criticism.
“if you try to call into his program and give him the BS about Michele being a stalking horse for Mitt, in it only for the power, and out to personally attack Palin because she hired Rollins, hes going to ask you where does that exist other than in your head and then abruptly cut you off.”
It “exists” in recent political history, which Levin lived through not in my head and is set forth quite concisely in a book which he has promoted on his show, Rendezvous with Destiny. A guy named Phil Crane tired to take down Reagan in much the same way Bachmann is doing. It is set forth in this vanity I did which was picked up and featured on Dan Riehl’s blog:
Is Michele Bachmann Sarah Palin’s Phil Crane?
“if they [Levin and Limbaugh] ever get wind of whats going on out here in regards to conservative attacks on other conservatives, they will call it out appropriately.”
Are you suggesting that they are unaware of Rollins’ attacks on Palin and the outrage it has engendered among Palin’s far larger army of supporters? It has been all over the blogosphere on Hot Air, Yahoo...every single conservative site? Levin comes on FR and has seen the viciousness of the PDS assaults here on Palin.
They know about it and they yet to “call out” Bachmann or the Palinistas who have appropriately attacked her for this tactic. If you happen to get through to Levin, be sure to complain loudly about Palin’s supporters, and I will bet you whatever you like that Levin tells you to get over it, It is a GOP primary. You will be the one cut off. Good luck on getting through though.
By the way, if Levin or Limbaugh condemn the Palinsitas in any way, please post it. I would like to know that. I really would.
Bull manure, when you do something then apologize if it is not true.
Horse Crapola...Bachmann needs to apologize for comments of her own even before Rollins.
You want examples...Sarah Palin has nothing to do with me, whether she runs or not, has nothing to do with my decision.
Refusal to answer question about whether she would/could support a Palin campaign, if MB was not running...this was prior to MB announcement to run.
Not to mention that Gov Palin may have actually been the one that got MB re elected in Minn, raised money for her etc.
Bachmann has CRAPPED on Palin basically. I am done with MB.
Perhaps, but not necessarily. When considered in context and conjunction with the entirety of Bachmann's comment regarding Palin, my perception is that it was not a slip, it was calculated and deliberate. To put it quite simply, Bachmann's entire comment re: her relationship with Palin was astoundingly "Clintonesque".
Both MB and Clinton are lawyers (well, at least for Clinton, as Peter Sellers said in a Pink Panther episode 'Not anymore'... /g). Bachmann's statement employed the same sort of careful parsing and calculated ambiguity as that for which Bill Clinton was so properly criticized here.
For example, "never a cross word between us" = "I let someone else do the dirty work". "I wish her success in what she's doing now" = "I want her to stay out of my way".
It was calculated, carefully and artfully parsed, bland and soporific "lawyer talk" designed to sooth, evade and forestall further probing.
If we had "real" investigative journalists someone would ask Bachmann "Since you two are good friends, did you personally speak with Palin about Rollins' comments, and if so, what did you tell her?" I believe that question put directly to Bachmann would have resulted in the "mother of all deer-in-the-headlights" moments for her.
Bachmann's real problem is that this specific issue, the "Rollins kerfuffel" if you will, isn't really about Palin. It's about Bachmann's honesty, sincerity, and the nature and quality of whatever set of moral/ethical principles she uses to guide and determine her professional actions.
In short, it's about character, and with the truly horrific multiple crises which are bearing down upon America, and indeed the entire world (and to which most Americans are still oblivious), for whoever winds up sitting in the Oval Office hot seat, their character is going to matter far more than their credentials.
Perry and Bachmann are fully-owned by the globalist establishment. As for Palin, it's too soon to tell conclusively. If she runs, a lot will depend on whether she gets her mind right regarding the illegal alien issue.
IMO, what ever happens in the future does not have to have a precedence. In fact there may be more exceptions than not.
One bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush, and the one we have is a pretty good one. Don't choke it off.
Palin says she believes in a two party and that she is a Republican. If she thinks that MB or Perry stand a good chance of beating OB, she may not enter the Republican primaries. If she does enter, I take them at their word that they are the best of friends and it will be a very civil contest.
In my dreams , I see her going rogue, declare herself a Democrat and challenge OB in the Democrat primaries. Here we go again.
Now that was funny...lol
[ Perry and Bachmann are fully-owned by the globalist establishment. ]
Maybe... Maybe not..
What the hell is with Bachmann having the nerve to claim never a cross word between them? She really thinks she can just let it all blow over the fact she sent her campaign man to run his mouth on why Palin was no good and Bachmann is it which relyed on nasty attacks on Palin that were not friendly at all. He’s still her guy and she kept quiet. I have lost all respect for her. Stay in the House, Michelle.
relyed=relied
“Sarah is running. Please be patient :-)”
You got some kinda inside scoop? I HOPE you are right. I BELIEVE you are not. Let’s make a bet. Since I lose most of the time when I gamble, maybe I’ll lose this one too. :-)
