Daily Kos: GOP Women Couldn't Possibly Be Pro-Women [Palin, Bachmann "18th century women"]

[...] On the other hand, these women haven't exactly taken any stands against their party's blatantly anti-woman agenda, or against the lipsticked figureheads of their "We can be feminists too!" movement. They haven't signed on to any of the proposed legislation that would actually help women, like H.R.894, the Maternal Health Accountability Act of 2011. Not a single Republican woman has signed on to H.R.1519, the Paycheck Fairness Act. And as for their all-too-eager endorsement of denying health care to women, well, sorry, girls, but that's not very pro-woman either.

The Democratic Party doesn't exactly have a flawless pro-woman record either, of course. But, unlike the Republican Party, sending women back to the 18th century isn't part of its official agenda. Every pro-woman piece of legislation, even if it doesn't pass, is introduced and co-sponsored by Democrats. Just about every anti-woman piece of legislation, on the other hand, comes from Republicans.

You’d think that Palin and Bachmann were anti-suffragettes, to hear this ranting.

Not the first time Daily Kos has shown dislike for women.

Daly Kos is the site that targeted Gabrielle Gifford.

Daily Kos prefers submissive woman such as Huma and Hillary.

Where do these Kos harpies get off telling American women what they ought and ought not to be wanting?

I do not think that the misguided writer knows what "pro-women" means. The Republican women do.

Most of what the writer says supports women, does not in fact, do, because the laws are based on false premises, unrealistic expectations, and lack of understanding of the roles of men and women in a thriving culture.

Liberals are fighting tooth and nail to keep women on the planation through the use of intellectual dishonesty. They think that they own women & want to keep the socialist shackles in place.

The left believes that a woman who gives birth to a child without at least once trying to kill them, alter their gender roles or completely redefine their sexual identity makes them a relic of “the dark ages”.

I used to be sort of a Feminist. That was until I realized that Feminists are really just for Leftwing causes not women. Conservative women are stupid, dontcha know! We are to be ridiculed. Because any intelligent woman MUST be a devotee of Liberal causes. Liberals are for (Liberal) women! /s

It would be interesting to create a world where people like Kaili Joy Gray could live and her socialist economic ideals would be in force. Then she and her comrades could pass paycheck fairness acts and see how fair her pay was. Like the pay in the old Soviet Union, it might be enough for her to subsist on. Maybe. She’d love Cuba or N. Korea.
