A Surry County man shot another man in the groin Friday during an incident in the Toast community, authorities said. No charges have been filed.
Arnold Edward Moser, 67, was walking on South Franklin Road near Airview Drive shortly before 6 a.m. when Davie Lee Thomas, 23, approached Moser in a car, said Lt. David Hamlin of the Surry County Sheriff's Office.
Moser told investigators that Thomas cursed and yelled at him, telling Moser to get out of the road, Hamlin said. Thomas then got of his car and approached Moser.
That's when Moser fired a handgun at Thomas, Hamlin said. Moser typically carries a gun when he is walking near his home, authorities said.

Very true.
Here's to the old man.
Did Barney use his one bullet?
And they don’t come more liberal than Andy.
Never pick a fight with an old man.
Wonferful. Thanks for the laugh.

“Man shot in groin in Toast community”
Why do we permit and allow toast to form their own communities? Next thing you know, rolls will want their own territory or worse yet...rolls and toast marrying each other.
A crotch shot. I like that attitude.
