This almost does not seem possible it was an accident.

I think it was ABC Radio that sain the truck driver might be at fault. She must not know how big a train is. Everyone who hits a train is at fault.

“Amtrak-truck crash kills 2, injures 20 in Nevada”
Updated at 12:37 AM today
By Leslie Brinkley

SNIPPET: “EMERYVILLE, Calif. (KGO) — A fiery crash happened in rural Nevada after a semi plows into an Amtrak train. At least two people are dead and dozens injured. More than 200 people were on that train. Passengers on-board from Chicago arrived in Sacramento a little over an hour ago. They got off a bus and onto a train, bound for Emeryville.

Emeryville was the final destination for train No. 5, the California Zephyr, but then the unexpected happened Friday morning before that train even got to Reno.

Flames engulfed several passenger cars on the Amtrak train after a big rig truck struck the westbound California Zephyr around 11:30 a.m. at a crossing 60 miles east of Reno. Some passengers were trapped inside as smoke from the burning cars soared into the blue desert sky. There were 204 passengers and 14 crew members were on board the train going from Chicago to Emeryville and the crash happened without warning.”

What’s the name of the driver? What’s his background? Will the government tell us?

I have a gut feeling that this was a deliberate attempt to crash the train, I just woke up and even before I turned on the news or even the puter I knew that some form of terrorist attack was going or had already happened.

And I believe that this story will be whitewashed to death about it NOT being a terrorist attack, with all the scrutiny at truckers with dangerous loads who would look twice at a gravel truck?

And I would keep an eye on any other similar events across the country. Its already been proved that terrorists are hoping for a Jihaad movement to be initiated across America.

In Texas, the majority of gravel trucks are driven by illegal aliens from Mexico who frequently try to beat trains at railroad crossings. Sometimes they lose.

Possible DWI (Driving While Islamic)?

NO cheers, unfortunately.

Someone ought to call the trucking company and get the driver logs to see who was assigned to that truck.

Gravel = heavy = momentum. Would be consistent with wanting to derail a passenger train.

Shall we coin the word "Islaimkaze?" NO cheers, unfortunately.

Sounds like DWI to me...Driving While Islamic, that is.

If this was a plain, old suicide, there's a lot more freight trains than passenger trains.

It sounds like many more dead most likely. And it seems very possible it wasn’t accidental.

Local news reports say that there were 200' skid marks from the truck. Speculation was that although the guard arms were down the warning lights may have not been working.

The driver did attempt to stop.

This article from the San Francisco Chronicle

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/06/26/MN9T1K2PVL.DTL&tsp=1

stated that there were grade crossing signs beginning at almost 900 feet from the crossing, another set of signs at 650 feet, and skid marks indicating that the truck applied its brakes 320 feet (”but was unable to stop in time”) from the crossing. Something doesn’t add up. An experienced truck driver leading a convoy would have begun to slow down at the first set of signs at 900 feet. Barring any other scenarios such as being “electronically distracted” by a cell phone, it doesn’t seem likely that this professional driver would try to do something so foolhardy and dangerous as trying to beat a train. The train always wins.
