SAN DIEGO -- History will be made at this year's San Diego Pride Parade when active-duty military members will march openly through the heart of Hillcrest.
"To my knowledge [it is] the first time in the history of Pride in the United States, ever, that we have said, 'Active duty, you are welcome,'" organizer Sean Sala said. "We want you to be there without fear of repercussions, because we love you."
Sala, an active-duty sailor, said he was bothered to see that police and firefighters were represented in the Pride parade, but not the people who serve this country.
"I thought it was weird because San Diego has the biggest military installation in the United States, and military are public servants as well," he said.
Sala said 200 active-duty members of the military and some veterans have signed up to march at the head of the parade. They will not wear their uniforms because that would violate military regulations. They will instead wear shirts that reflect their branch of service.
"We have made strong emphasis to make sure that this does not violate military policy. Every active-duty person on that float understands that, and every active-duty person on that float respects the military," said Sala.
Why did it take so long for active-duty military to be included in the celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender pride?
"Because of fear and because of nervousness," Sala said. "Because some people thought, 'Oh, if I'm here then people are going to think it's because I'm gay.'"
Sala said many of those who signed up to march are straight. His parents, who both served in the military, will be among them.
The Pride Parade will be held July 16 at 11 a.m.

The insanity in taking pride in such dehumanizing sexual acts is unbelievable in a nation that is founded on the laws of nature and God’s laws.
They are so extremely ignorant of history and ancient Greece and pretending the homosexuality in Afghanistan, which they are well aware of.....is NOT connected with rampant pederasty....to condition and seduce boys into the “lifestyle”.

These military, along with the homosexual community, advocate child abuse. They are advocating evil, for as the identical twin studies proved, homosexuality is learned—caused by the environmental forces which —in a homosexual’s case—demeans their sexual identity in a myriad of ways. They are conditioning the young boys who witness the parade, that something vile is very natural and “good”. The Bible is correct.......there will come a time when evil is called good, and good, evil. I always thought that was a ridiculous prediction....but the Bible proves once again, what wisdom it contains....and what great understanding of the nature of man.
Simple biological imperative... attract mates. If we assume that there aren't very many of them that is.
Does anyone else notice that these events are being called “Pride Parades”, rather than “gay pride parades”? Are the organizers trying not to emphasize the homosexuality of the events?
Or, is the gay community co-opting the word “pride” the way they co-opted the word “gay”?
Do you ever hear the word “gay” used anymore, except to mean homosexual? Do you ever hear it used in the traditional way anymore?
Will the word “pride” now only mean homosexual trans-whatever pride?????
They go out of their way to promote themselves because they know they are WRONG. They have to tell themselves over and over and over what they are doing is OK. But they KNOW they are WRONG.

It’s interesting to see how society has accepted, and/or been forced to accept, all of this.
At the time of the very first homosexual parade in San Diego, the organizers were told by police that they couldn’t guarantee their safety during the march. Times were very different then. The police of the time were fearful that the sight of a homosexual march would trigger violence.
Of course nowadays, the cops are there as they would be at any public event, just to direct traffic and keep an eye on things. There’s no threat of public revulsion and/or violence directed at these marchers anymore.
Some are even promoting it as a fun family event. After the parade, there will be a big public celebration in Balboa Park. Bring the family, we are told.

Gays like to call attention to themselves so that other gays can spot them.
Certainly Straights know what the other gender is, but the only way a gay can spot another is if they are out and calling attention to the fact they are gay.
The word Gay bothers me a lot I have never met one who was truly happy and most have issues.The most openly gay girl in my neighborhood has given herself a boy’s regular haircut is 5’2” and weighs 180 lbs. easy. I would like to tell her she doesn’t have to have a beer belly to act like a boy. I don’t suspect she is very pop[ular as a sex object even for other Lesbians.

Here in Houston, the daily Rat run paper ran a list of the events including a jockstrap fashion show with the worn undergarments to be auctioned off at the end of the night.
Crass crud culture is being celebrated by perverts. The same crowd that mock those who have faith in a higher power (what they call “superstition”, “fantasy”, and “make believe”).
Meanwhile they pretend to be women, dressing up in makeup and padded bras and no one is supposed to think anything of it.
