Ping!
the thread police have been notifed of the use of 3 different names in the title of this posting
Bachmann has many skeletons in her closet that will expose her as just another corrupt politician. Many on free republic are wearing blinders because Bachmann says all the right things and says them well. The media is suddenly playing it easy on her because they hope she ends up on the national ticket and they will destroy her later and if you thought Palin had it rough , Bachmann has some real good stuff for the media to use. Just wait until people see some of the interviews of these “23” foster kids.... free babysitting and house keeping plus 1.2 million in state money to the Bachmann’s. Pardons for fat cat donors. Farm subsidies for her family. Using tax funded congressional office money for political events. Media just sitting on this for later.
Agreed. Heck of a title!
Hey, whaddaya know? Another hit piece on Michele Bachmann claiming she is nothing more than a stalking horse for Mitt Romney, set out to fulfill the establishment’s wishes of destroying Sarah Palin.
As Mark Levin would say, “Where does that exist, other than in your head”.
No matter how many times the courts try to tell us Separation of Church and State is in the Constitution, it doesn’t make it true. And no matter how many times people here try to say Bachmann is an Establishment Stalking Horse does it make it true either.
Ahem. Bachmann 24%, Cain 15%, Romney 15% in the last Zogby poll. I'm a Cain supporter, but to deny that Bachmann could win the nomination is foolish.
I see a lot of wild unsubstantiated nonsense.
Saying it does not make it so; but, detailing the specifics of Bachmann’s background and understanding the dynamics of her candidacy make it obvious that she is not transparent. She owes Sarah big time. She has refused to acknowledge that debt. That alone is grounds for impeaching her character.
Phil Gramm is an excellent object lesson that money only goes so far. He was, by far, the best-financed candidate in the race and it got him nowhere. Without a good presence, solid (and appealing) speaking skills, a certain amount of telegenic quality, no candidate will go anywhere. Steve Forbes is another example of money doing little to buy a nomination.
It’s not clear to me whether or not Bachmann is being a bad girl - whether she’s knowingly acting to head off Palin in order to help Romney and indirectly herself by getting the favor returned, whether she’s honorably putting herself out there as a candidate for the Presidency, whether she’s failing to show her appreciation for Palin’s help in her last campaign.
Bachmann should know she doesn’t stand a chance head-to-head against Palin. That being the case, it would be logical for her to join a pack of Palin detractors.
But I’m glad to see a bunch of good people competing for the Republican nomination. It increases the odds of ending up with the best one to defeat Obama.
Much as I like Palin, if it becomes obvious that she can’t defeat Obama, we must not nominate her.
