The original WH transcript found at whitehouse.gov (I grabbed a cached version from yahoo.com; see my red brackets below) says the DNC participants LAUGHED after Obama said "we've created 2.1 million new private sector jobs in the past 15 months.
Now, whitehouse.gov has changed the word "laughter" to "applause."

Of course, the big lie in this case is the claim of private sector jobs creation, not that it was applause instead of laughter.
Given the audience, it’s certain that it was applause.

Was it a typo or a lie? You can’t say it is ‘doctored’ if they were correcting a typo.
But if the audience really was laughing and they changed it to applause, then it is a lie and it was doctored.
Until we hear what really happened, this is a non-story.
