What's with the hatred of Michele Bachmann at Free Republic lately?
I've seen some psychotic paranoid drivel about her secretly working for Mitt Romney, but apparently there's more to it than that.
Please help me out here, folks.
I’ve been noticing the plethora of negative posts about various candidates and some non-candidates, as well.
The fact is that ALL these candidates have something positive to add to the Republican primary (except maybe, Mitt Romney, who just isn’t reliably conservative). During the primary, it is more important to sell people (independents) on the Republican brand as opposed to Obama, than to sell them on the individual candidate that the Republicans will choose, because eventually, we will make that decision and this time around, I would like to see US make the decision not the press.
The point is, we shouldn’t be making it easier for the press by attacking our own. They all have something to offer and by focusing on what we LIKE about the candidate, instead of what we don’t like, we have an opportunity to push the whole group in that direction. Force Romney to the right, force Cain to the right on abortion, force all of the candidates on free trade and against Obamacare.

Nobody is supposed to ever criticize the Divine Diva and when somebody appears to be a strong challenger for the role of leading conservative woman, all hell breaks loose among the cultists.
I never thought it could be possible but the Palinistas have actually surpassed the Paul freaks in their fanaticism lately.
So, LET ‘EM FIGHT IT OUT! The good part is that FR lets both supporters and detractors of all presidential hopefuls speak their minds.
So long as the discussion is kept clean and nobody knowingly slanders a candidate.
Understand to some degree, but to read between the lines is a bit femme. What I mean is, I am not inclined to let silence be a speaker. Let all candidates speak to the issues. To date Sarah Palin is not one of them.
Undecided between Cain, Bachman, et al. Would be delighted to see Sarah Palin in the running. As for Bachman, just haven’t found anything substantive against other than inferential sniping.
OTOH, Ed Rollins can bite me.

And it’s a damn good point. But the candidates need to stop slitting their own throats with dumb a$$ moves. Were they not hiring Rinos, attacking their base (and not just MB either) this would be far less of a concern. If we don’t hold stupid decisions up for scrutiny, then we get what we deserve.

The PDSers here would be peeing their pants with glee, calling Palin a Romney-lovin RINO.
I can't speak for other Palin supporters, but if Palin had all those things, I'd step WAY back and seriously reconsider supporting her- just as I am Bachmann.

Actually, no. many like Palin so much because they/we see so much of RR’s ideals and philosophy in her, along with plenty of good things she brings to the argument herself.
