Representative Ron Paul easily won a Republican Leadership Conference straw poll of the party's 2012 presidential contenders on Saturday, with former U.S. envoy to China Jon Huntsman finishing second.

Not on this thread, but I’ve noticed an overall rise, yes.
Palin, no doubt, is the favorite here.
How about Ames Straw Poll?
Ron Paul gonna win that one?
And I doubt there were any boo instructions. Many Ron Paul supporters want less booing.
At least Palin and Cain are conservatives and sane, unlike number one and number two in this bowl, I mean poll.
But Ron Paul’s followers are not at all like the rest of the tea party attendees. Most do not boo other candidates. Most are not obsessed with a single issue. Most are not single trolls. Most do not try and stack polls for their candidate, if they even have a candidate.
Ron Paul may have a lot in common with the tea party, but the majority of his followers do not. They are a breed apart, easy to spot, both in person and on the internet. Now why is that?
What’s he going to do with all that straw???? I managed to watch the debate on streaming TV down here. He left me somewhat unimpressed. (IMHO)
Look, the left has Dennis Kucinich, we have Ron Paul. It gives our crazies a place to nuzzle up to!
With all due respect, I don’t think that anyone else cares. Sorry—maybe a year from now.
About the same as Paul's.
lol!
That they are. And anyone who has participated in one of these threads knows it. It's down to just a couple Paulistas, the most vocal who has admitted in this very thread that Ron Paul stands no chance of winning the Republican nomination or the presidency. So these threads are, apparently, for entertainment value alone and not a genuine attempt to campaign for the candidate.
..booing Herman Cain over support for Israel was classless
The Ron Paul campaign is trying to get the amount of booing down to zero.
What his supporters don’t realize is that if he were to actually win the Presidency, he would not get a chance to implement any of what he stands for. Republicans as well as Democrats would block his agenda.
Apparenty you were not at any of the many Tea Party events I’ve been to. Don’t insult conservatism and the grassroots conservative American Tea Party movement by trying to force in some failed libertarian candidate, a really kooky one at that.
What is next? Ron Paul, and the tea party, both like puppies so they are alike.
..they should —BTW support for Israel was a Reagan position for those who keep trying to tie the congressman to his name...
LOL Nelson packing??He’s got My attention now.
If you’re talking about me, I said that Palin is the most likely to win.
But, if she doesn’t run, then the tea party candidate will be who? Paul, Bachmann, or Cain, presumably.
I expect the tea party to be mighty again. It’s not unrealistic to think that Paul could beat Bachmann and Cain.
If that does happen, I would expect Paul to get the tea party support against the establishment RINO candidate, whoever that ends up being.
I expect the tea party to work hard for whoever the tea party conservative candidate is.
I happen to prefer Ron Paul. I believe he’ll make the cuts. But I do like Palin (and Bachmann) as well.
Yet another straw poll victory that will go up in smoke. Straw burns very nicely, thank you.
That's all just a matter of opinion and one that you use to skew your Paul propaganda to your liking....just as you do with any other argrument regarding your cult-leader.
You Paulbots all think you're so clever, but I have a newsflash for ya:
You're really not.
As I made clear....these fawning and worship threads are just re-runs of the same ones we saw in 2007.
