Doubling down on RomneyCare, confirming that he believes in climate change, now this. Say this for him: At least hes not a total pander machine this time around. He just seems to be in the grip of a political death wish. I cant even explain this in terms of him wanting to stick by a position he espoused in the past in order to signal to voters that hes authentic and wont bend on his principles easily. His position, ostensibly, is that hes pro-life. This makes him look like hes inching back towards his pro-choice past. Is he in fact pandering to centrists here, with an eye already towards the general election, or what?
Coming soon from Pawlenty, presumably: A nasty tweet ripping Mitt for forever flip-flopping on abortion, followed by a whole lot of stammering at the next debate. Bachmann, however, just might lay him out.
The [Susan B. Anthony List] pledge also states that a candidate will, if elected president, nominate pro-life persons to relevant Cabinet and Executive Branch positions, in particular the head of National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health & Human Services, and the Department of Justice. Such a provision, Saul said, would restrict Romneys ability to choose his Cabinet.

Dang straight!!
Hopefully, conservatives will know a maverick when they see one ...and know to run away from him as fast as they can.
Amen!
Its a crappy pledge. It includes a promise to sign on to grossly immoral, blatantly unconstitutional legislation. I wouldnt sign it.
And Romney still sucks.
Any candidate who would sign this phony pledge doesn’t have a clue what it means to be pro-life.
Well, a RINO Republican paved the way for Obama, turn about is fair play, right Mitt? There are lots of libs who are not happy with Obama so Mitt may be hoping to pick up some of his votes. And the RINO RNC will do everything they can to help him. So we Conservatives really have a job ahead of us.
For me it's the first hurdle. If there are two competing candidates who both get over it, I'll look at their other positions.
Bachmann is FAR more electable vs. Obama, IMHO, than Palin.
Abortion...traditional families...2nd Amendment...Our borders.
Any of those are deal breakers for me. If a candidate has any one of those wrong, I cannot trust their morals or their judgement to be executive of this Republic.
Doesn’t anyone get it? The guy is a complete and total PHONY!
Yep...Romney is scum.
Am I banned from FR for supporting Michel Bachamnn? I would support Sarah Palin but she has nor announced that she is running.
” Am I banned from FR for supporting Michel Bachamnn? “
Maybe both of us, if today is any indication ;-)
Romney, the first choice of liberal democrats and the MSM
Damn, Ronnie had a way with words. He could sizzle when he wanted to.
You may be right, as our little Republican primary voters are just so uninformed and have been for so long.
Well then, Mitt learned the wrong lesson. McCain lost because too many Americans just weren't motivated enough to show up and vote for him. He was a weasely politician with NO vision and zero leadership.
Conservatives are paying attention alright. They'll swamp the polls if they've got a real leader to vote FOR.
I miss RR. We really need him now.
I think I agree with Mike Reagan about Sarah, “Welcome back, Dad”.
