Here's something you don't see every day: Jon Stewart defending Sarah Palin.
During a "Daily Show" segment entitled "P-mail," Stewart pounded the media for providing "full team coverage of the arbitrary release date of Sarah Palin's non-urgent e-mails"--and for feeding the former vice presidential candidate's sense of self-importance.
"Where would Palin get this notion that we're hanging on every word she's said or written?" Stewart asked, before playing a video montage of media outlets bracing for the release of a trove of 24,000 pages of emails she wrote as Alaskan governor. "Oh right. She got that idea because we are.""For some reason, the media went DEFCON 1," Stewart said, rolling clips of news outlets disappointed by the apparent absence of any smoking-gun revelations in the massive email dump.
In one segment, a CNN correspondent in Alaska describes an email from someone complaining, "Palin was spotted with Trig in a car not wearing an approved car seat."
"That story better end with Palin getting out of the car and beating the woman with a tire iron," Stewart said. "Why are you wasting our time?"

This isn’t so much a defense of Sarah Palin as it is a liberal comic (Jon Stewart) POed that nothing damaging Palin was found in the coveted e-mails and now the leftmedia look ridiculous. Well, perhaps Stewart’s sense of fair play kicked in for a moment and an acknowledgement that enough is enough and the media is helping, not hurting Palin prompted his outburst. I’ll take it.

We can be sure that Palin is choreographing her strategy flawlessly since ‘she’ got bushwacked in 2008. It’s now on ‘her’ terms, with no “McCain handlers” scripting her into sure disaster!
If I saw it happen, I would not step foward as a witness.
I like Jon. Sure he’s liberal and biased, but he’s the only one liberals will listen to who actually hits one right every once in a while. IIRC, he was the first one to seriously break the industry self-imposed joke taboo on Obama.

Stewart is a cheesy comedian, not a real newscaster. The only people that trust Stewart are the ones who think he really does the “news”.
Yes. As best I know, Jon Stewart really dislikes Palin, and did NOT want to hear all about her again.
Perhaps not, but it will still do her some good to have viewers hear Jon Stewart mocking the media's obsession with her. In the future, they will be just a little more sceptical of the media's motives and not as inclined to soak up the drivel as fact.

Just as they appease terrorists whom they fear, they’re figuting “be nice to Palin and she’ll be obligated to be nice back.”
This flip happened about a week ago, when Rush observed “just as I suspected, word is that the WH internal polling is just HORRIBLE for 0bama.”
In other words, they realize their conniving moslem spokestraitor is toast.
They know Palin is about to steamroll the halal carpet pilot.
And since fighting Palin has failed, they’re reverting to their natural cowardice/appeasement.

Stewart is just pissed because it’s taking attention away from Obama. Not because it’s making his BFFs within the mainstream media look like the biased clowns they are.
I’ve been getting the same statements from my lib friends on facebook who post nonsense all day long from huffington post and msnbc. They are cranky over the Palin coverage as well.

Ever since Palin became the 2008 VP pick, they’ve been smearing her any way possible. They all suffer from cronic PDS. But now that the media is chasing her around giving her coverage as Obama is being mostly ignored and his poll numbers stink, all the libs are starting to scream “Why is Palin getting all this attention????”

I think I've seen maybe 1 or 2 clips of him before, so I don't really have an opinion of him. But I have to say, this clip was really, really funny.
