Airline passenger drops F-bomb, gets boot

An author of alleged “children’s books” needs to wash his mouth out with soap and find a new airline after dropping the F-bomb aboard an Atlantic Southeast Airlines flight.

The Detroit News reports Brooklyn author Robert Sayegh is thinking about suing the Delta Connection carrier.

According to the article, the 37-year-old, was flying from Kansas City to Newark when a flight attendant overheard him ask “What’s taking so [bleeping] long to close the overhead compartments?”

The plane taxied to the runway but returned to have Sayegh forcibly removed.

Sayegh told the Detroit paper he used the F-word twice.

“I’m like, ‘Are they throwing me off the plane? This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever been through in my life. It’s embarrassing.”

Sayegh, who’s also a TV producer, said he is not “a crazy maniac” and that in New York “we curse as adjectives.”

I’m guessing there is more to it than two f-bombs.

I have a feeling you are not in NY anymore. If you can’t figure out how to fly commercial without a problem, perhaps you should stay in NY.

I always like a line that was in a Doonesbury comic when BD got recalled for the gulf war.

BD: I’ve forgotten how to use the F word.

A: Simple, just use in in place of a comma

Remember when airline travel was something to get dressed up for?

The law is on the airline’s side. If the Captain agrees with the crew to boot you. You’re off. Captain’s rule on an aircraft. - Whiskey Tango

My grandmother always said that profanity was how the feeble minded express themselves with force. She was so right about that.

New Yorkers - making us thankful to live in the South. He probably supports Weiner, too. Is it too much to ask to behave civilally on a commercial flight?

When they show the inflight movie, loaded with profanity, will they turn the plane around then, too?

Well, if he was the VP, he would be considered chique and humorous.

Guess we are getting so ‘sensitive’ that one cannot criticize or question anothers job or business.....

I do but that was many years ago. My mom worked for Eastern and we got free passes to fly. My mom always dressed us up to fly because we were representing the airline. There used to be pride in appearance. The last couple of times I have flown, passengers looked like they were at the beach.

Of course, I remember when teachers dressed up and didn’t look like bums. I guess I’m old.

It’s a good thing Obama flies on Air Force One. On a commercial flight, he might get into trouble.

I am sure it was his attitude, more than the words, that got him booted. He said he said the f-word twice, so maybe the second time he told the attendant to f-off, after being told to watch his language. He never mentions how he used it the second time.

Could he have been muslim? One of the first thing I think about when I hear the word Detroit is muslims.

If he is going to be an A-hole on the ground,,, im fine with throwing him off. Why would we expect him not to act worse at 30,000 feet? Screw him,,, have some common manners and you won’t get thrown off.

Awesome, my mom used to tell me the same thing. I have always agreed with her too.
