Michele Bachmann is my choice, but I will vote for any one of them against BO.
AZ is just enforcing federal immigration laws. King is so damned uninformed on this issue. Now he is creating the phony strawman of blanket amnesty versus mass deportation. Those aren’t the choices. Attrition thru enforcement. No path to citizenship for illegals. Rewarding something gets more of it.
I agree re: gays and abortion (because all the candidates there are pro-life) but I think immigration is worth discussing. That is not a wedge issue.
I’m impressed with Gingrich on immigration.
Illegal immigration using gov freebies -
Santorum - son of a legal immigrant. Grandfather didn’t come for gov freebie. No freebies for visa overstays.
Paul - bankrupted hospitals and schools. Protect our borders. Tax payers shouldn’t pay for illegals. Shouldn’t blame Catholic Church (uh, yes we should blame anyone aiding and abetting - wrong answer Paul)
Cain - immigration is 4 prob - secure border, promote path to citizenship, empower the states with what the national gov won’t do, and enforce laws already on the books.
Pawlenty - fed gov not doing its job so let states protect their borders. Appoint conservative judges.
Shut up John!
Newt - Backed up Cain. Put National Guard on border rather than in middle east. Put homeland security on the border (sort of dumb with that but getting there)
This will be your line until the day she says she’s not running.
Howdy, onyx!
Kick that rino to the curb.
Everybody up there is more than Obama’s intellectual equal. It’s a fine group of candidates on the whole.
illegal aliens
Rick his dad was a legal immigrant he is against giving bennies to IA
Paul should protect borders should not force tax payers to pay for bennies
Cain birthright citizenship ??? No, secure the borders inforce laws impower the states to do what is needede
Paw feds wont do it let the states birthright wrong
Newt round them up ??? control the border use the Nat guard take 1/2 the govt bueaucracy send them to border
fair enough - I’m a little behind in the thread . . . :)
Have my non-political wife here...she’s very impressed with Bachmann...good answers, clear speaker, no-nonsense. “Much better than Palin.”
Great to protect the borders, but how do you get these parasites out that are here NOW?
They’re lined up at our public health departments every single day ...sucking up funds.
They’re bankrupting us NOW — more than anyone will admit.
I like Newt’s answers so much, but he is so personally reprehensible....
me too...Gingrich sounds good on immigration...
ROFL. Send Homeland Security bureaucrats to the border. Nice, Newt.
Finally somebody attacks the media. Too bad it was Newt.
Suddenly we went from 12 million illegals to 20 million...........did I miss something?
Absolutely!
Gingrich is an amnesty guy. Don’t be fooled. He talks about dealing with the illegals “humanely,” which is code for amnesty.
I’m not a Gingrich fan, but he got immigration right. Cain too.
