Shes up 22-20 on Romney according to Reuters/Ipsos. Paul and Cain are tied for third at 7%. Todays Quinnipiac poll appears to be a pretty major outlier when you consider that the Governor and Romney have been within four of each other in every other credible poll.
I like Cain because I like Cain, you are right about the black vote though.
At best he might peel off a point or two.
You would stay home and not vote for any conservative?
Seriously? You would not vote for Bachmann Or Cain. Way to elect Obama before the primaries are over.
It recalls the difference between the U.S. Constitution and the monstrous, unwieldy, enormous (2,000-pages?) constitution of the European Union, the very epitome of decadence; or the monstrous, unwieldy, enormous U.S. tax code that nobody can understand; or the monstrous, unwieldy, enormous Obama health care legislation.
It's the difference between ascendancy and decadence.
By that logic, Ron Paul is a top contender, being tied with Cain. Unfortunately, the Rueters/Ipsos website doesn't have this poll posted as I write this, so I can't look at the overall numbers or internals, but I imagine that 7% is well within the margin of error of most of the rest of the field.
Except for Romney and Palin. Now admittedly I don't put much stock in polling this far out, but this does seem to confirm what a lot of people have been saying -- this is a Romney/Palin matchup, and everyone else is running for VP. At least right now. Still a long time until any votes are cast...
Yeah and especially since the thread’s title is misleading to any link. Other than Obama beats all.
You know, there is something no one thought of.
Palin/Romney.Obama cannot debate Romney, so Romneycare is off the table. Who cares if the VP is not Conservative? I think the requirement is being able to breathe. On the plus side, Romney does bring value with his business acumen. Corporations and small businesses would welcome this. Cain could also do this, but Romney will raise more money for the campaign.
Romney brings in the independent vote and with Krauthammer and his fellow RINO commentators, the hate Palin factor goes away. What does Romney get from this? A real chance in 2020 and he has 8 years to prove his worth.
I say it’s win-win.
“You would stay home and not vote for any conservative?

Palin or you get Obama.....your choice...not mine.
If you are so worried about it...you should get out an support Palin more...
Not tell me why I should settle for LESS.
Romney is a deal breaker....
Cain is a nice guy, I guess. He has no experience. He has shown he is weak in foreign policy knowledge. He health is in question. He had serious cancers less than 4 years ago. He’s no spring chicken. I’m not really that impressed with his resume. In the PC world we live in, how many of those positions he held were “token” positions? He’s a political novice vying for the top political job in the world.
He is not ready for PRIME TIME.
Now don’t misunderstand me, I TOTALLY agree that these monstrously long bills are, well, monstrous. And I’m with ya on the EU thing. However, to just pull a number out of the air is absurd. Some legislation DOES require more than 3 pages. That doesn’t mean it’s 2,000 though. It’s just such an utterly random number not based in reason and I just think it’s a gimmick that is a bad one. And we don’t need any more gimmicks. America elected a gimmick in 2008. I don’t want another I don’t care how conservative that gimmick is.
Do these idiots not know that Romney is the guy that is supposed to win?!?!
“I think I wont sign any legislation longer than 3 pages is excellent.”
Bills are usually only 3 pages long. The extra 2000 pages are for the giveaways and to hide the pork.
A month ago, Trump was winning. Two weeks ago, it was Mitch Daniels. Just sayin’...
I say that is stretching it. If Romney pushes through (which I hope he doesn’t) Palin will be the last person his ego self picks for VP. Palin has supposedly stated she would be Romney’s VP. It is a lose lose. Sadly Palin will never gain what is needed-the independent vote. I have seen people on this forum bash Bachmann to promote Palin and cite any poll with Palin no where near the lead as slanted liberal and this poll is liberal and sadly I don’t see Palin leading anywhere.
“....the ONLY candidate who would take the disgruntled Black VOTES AWAY from President Clueless.”
Wish it were so...but its not.
Given a choice between 2 black candidates, the ebony community will support the most liberal one.....”something for nuthin” is their theme song....and a conservative doesn’t even sing in the chorus, much less in the lead.....
My appologies to the numerious and stalwart Freeper blacks.
So Reuters/Ipsos polls are now reliable?
Sad that those that aren’t ready made stars ready for prime time COULD take the independent vote better than those that supposedly are.
It’s quite simple for me. There are three conservatives I would trust for the nomination. Palin, Bachmann, Cain. The rest will bend over in a hurry for Obama.
Yes, the hypocrisy and a Palin 2 point stretch over Romney to see a lead with a very liberal poll pumping Obama is maddening.
