Reuters/Ipsos Poll: Obama holds big 2012 lead over Republicans (Palin Leads GOP)
reuters ^ | June 08 2011 | John Whitesides

She’s up 22-20 on Romney according to Reuters/Ipsos. Paul and Cain are tied for third at 7%. Today’s Quinnipiac poll appears to be a pretty major outlier when you consider that the Governor and Romney have been within four of each other in every other credible poll.

And a lot of those were white college kids who did what their peers thought was cooool. A lot of males voted for 0 because their girl friends like him.

Only now they have awaken. Next round will have the 0bots cheatng even more because that’s the only way they can win and we all know it. And believe me, they are working on that! Illegals, EC, ACORN, you name it. Plus they’re trying their best to silence us (let me count the ways) and also keep donations from getting to our picks.

and I’d walk on hot coals to see that person treated the

The poll, conducted Friday through Monday, surveyed 1,132 adults nationwide by telephone, including 948 registered voters. The margin of error is 3 percentage points.

16.25% of the polled adults aren't even registered to vote. Of course Obama's doing great. The balance are simply registered voters. How many are Likely Voters?

Does your political agenda have to compete with your sanity for control of your brain? Well, find a lousy pollster that shares your bias and enjoy all those delightfully delusional, meaningless poll results.

IMO, if Perry actually comes out and declares, you’ll start to see him shoot up very quickly.

I used to live in McCotter’s district. He would be dynamite on the campaign trail. He is a real conservative, a good speaker, funny, witty, plays in a band. He would connect with the Obama idiot college students.

I like Cain, but just today he said Gun Control was a State issue. That is beyond ignorant, and I owe that to his lack of Political savvy as well as his lack of understanding of the Constitution.

He also inserted Religious Bigotry into his Campaign when he said he wouldn't have a Muslim in his Cabinet. That comment met with positive support here on FR, but just change Muslim to Jew or Catholic. It will be hard to defend in a Debate and the attack ads will have that comment front and center.

The other Elephant in the room is his age and health. Mr. Cain survived Stage Four Colon and Liver Cancer and whether we like it or not that will a big issue that the Rats will jump on with glee. At the very least it will make the race about the V.P. Candidate, not the top of the Ticket.

Sound familiar???

I am disgusted about how the media has treated Palin and her family, but this isn’t a valid reason to support her for President.

Palin has been in the public eye for almost 3 years and has been unable to expand her support. Her ratings have deteriorated, now she needs a dramatic increase in support to be competitive and I don’t see any indication that she can do it.
Talk to some swing voters, the people we need to defeat Obama. They will confirm the surveys which show Palin and Gingrich as the weakest candidates. I think your conviction that she can defeat Obama is wishful thinking - much like the predictions here last year that the GOP would take the Senate and gain over 100 House seats.

I go for Cain/Palin. He’s too old to wait until 2020 and she has plenty of time plus a stint as VP as opposed to merely a candidate would polish her cred.

But really, a poll that has Zero winning?

I don’t believe any polls coming out from the liberal media. Just like the CNN poll that said 75% of people personally liked Obama. Wonder how many Dems were polled this time.

Palin has been in the public eye for almost 3 years and has been unable to expand her support. Her ratings have deteriorated, now she needs a dramatic increase in support to be competitive and I don’t see any indication that she can do it.

I don't know what data you're basing those statements on, but I can tell you that they don't match observed reality.

Governor Palin's popularity hasn't eroded one iota in the three years she's been on the national stage. There isn't another public figure who can command as large or as enthusiastic an audience, as she can.

Her following on Facebook and Twitter is phenomenal, and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's had more press mentions (besides Obama) in the US media since 2008.

To say that "she hasn't been in the public eye" is flat-out ridiculous, and a complete falsehood. Hardly a day has gone by in the three years since she's been a nationally known figure, that she hasn't had at least one article written about her, or has made waves all on her own in the press.

The number of individual supporter groups that are dedicated to her election number in the scores, and her political action group, SarahPac is one of the busiest in the country.

Sarah Palin doesn't need a "dramatic increase in support to be competitive". She's got a greater level of grass roots support than perhaps all of the other Republican hopefuls put together. The proof of this, is that she ranks consistently at or near the top of every poll conducted of center-right voters, AND the left-wing press CAN'T stop talking about her. They're as scared sh!itless of her now, as they've ever been. NO other candidate on the right engenders as much fear and loathing on the left, as Sarah Palin does.

The left fears her for good reason. They know full well (even if many on our side don't) that she will become the 45th president, if she so decides it. Apparently, our enemies understand her a whole lot better than you do.

anyone notice that these “polls” are all over the place?!

I think they are all BS. THe MSM is trying to manipulate us. They will stick us with another “John McCain” before its all over.

Right now, I’m focused on who’s going to win the GOP primary (obviously I’m rooting for Palin although I admire what I’ve seen of Cain). I’m not concerned at this point about Obama’s numbers real or not. As I said, in a year I think the answer to the simple question, “Are you better off than you were four years ago,” will sink Obama.
