Most voters still believe President Obama is more liberal than they are, while just one-out-of-four say they share the same ideological views as the president.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 54% of Likely U.S. Voters think Obama is more ideologically liberal than they are, while only 13% view him as more conservative. Twenty-four percent (24%) say their political views are about the same as the president's.
Most Mainstream voters (65%) say Obama is more politically liberal than they are, while those in the Political Class tend to view the president's views as more liberal or about the same as theirs.
Fifty-four percent (54%) of voters believe Obama is qualified to be president.

So according to this poll 37% of those who responded are either with Obama ideologically or to the left of him. And we wonder why the country is going to hell in a hand basket?

They need to start asking the right questions.

Too many people voted for Obama to “send a message to the world” or something similar because of his uniqueness. It wasn't because of any view (except for the extremely naive liberals).
To: freespirited
Are they gong on his ability or his credentials as based on the constitution?
Either way he doesn’t make the cut.

That 37% figure probably includes a large percentage of uber-lefties that think 0bama’s suddenly too far to the right because he attacked Libya and hasn’t shut down Club Gitmo like he promised.
And in any 0bama poll, you can immediately subtract 11-13% to account for the black people that will blindly support him no matter what, simply because of the racial aspect. After the deduction is made you’ll get a better picture of where the rest of the country stands.
He’ll be beaten handily next year, unless the Republicans foist a RINO on us.

so 25% will cast a ballot for someone with whom they vehemently disagree?

Too many people voted for Obama to send a message to the world or something similar because of his uniqueness. I can verify that 6 people in my immediate circle that were very anti-Clinton and very displeased, to say the least, with Bush and voted for Obama in protest.
I can say, to borrow a phrase from Weiner, with certitude these 6 will not be voting for Obama in 2012.
