The locals would have done well to turn the prisoners loose. then tell the Feds to go to hades.

Words fail me.

I hope this story ends up being false.

A clowder of clawy cats, each one tossed (or better, trained to jump) to a masked face and dig in.

I’d shoot back with something much more damaging. An officer involved in Civil Rights violations is personally liable.

Indeed! And this is Stockton, CA where the climate is not that different from Fresno, CA. Being lockeed in a closed car for 6 hours would be unbearable in that heat. In fact, you’d be jailed if you did that to a dog.

That would have me proud of them as fellow citizens loving Liberty and hating Tyranny.

Only people on welfare qualify as Eric Holder's people.

Guy probably had a job and was taking care of his kids. That type of activity has been the subject of SWAT raids recently.

Or as it would be objected in court, “assertion of alleged facts not in evidence.” Of course, jumping to such conclusions, without so much a qualifier as a “maybe,” is sadly as de rigueur on FR as it is on DU.

This guy married his ex-wife debts and all.

News flash - you do NOT assume a spouse's past debts when you marry that person.

As a start, we the People need to start identifying who is participating in these questionable raids, and then publicizing their names in an active shunning campaign.

As if these arrogant and privileged SOBs would stand around and do nothing. Just like the many citizens whose lives are threatened for the mere "crime" of capturing police thuggery on video, what do you suppose would happen to any one who dares publicize the names and addresses of these authorized gang-bangers?

In the infancy of this citizen action, they would be highly motivated to strangle it while still in the cradle, and likely the facilitators and sponsors of this publicizing will be subject to profound levels of harassment that would lead to frequent incarceration, traffic fines, code violations, midnight raids, frame-ups and probably murdered in their own homes in the course of one of these "raids".

The politicians and prosecutors need the armed goons for their own protection and career advancement and would likely ignore the retaliatory thuggery as a professional courtesy (and likely justified fear). Furthermore, if it isn't already a criminal act, it would shortly become a criminal act to "jeopardize the safety" of the psychopath LEO by publicizing the name and address.

The remedy is to do this all quietly while it may still be legal, and then when a good compilation has been made, and its agreed that more direct preemptive action needs to be taken, then leak the details, and let society cleanse itself of this evil the way our nation's forefathers envisioned it.

Its important to consider your government as having more power and less ethics and morality than Al Capone's mafia.

Evil has a face now, and it likes how it looks in the mirror.

The very nearest thing to it would be a court order to search “her” house for evidence of “her” assets pursuant to a clause in the original loan agreement. Normally this doesn’t happen except in full bankruptcy cases, and it’s handled differently.

This is happening across the whole spectrum of Government, Federal, State and Local. We are not far from a De Facto Police State!

Might just work. After all, the SWATs don't call their rifles "huskitties"!

There is a real possibility this will be what brings down liberalism.

Liberals run US colleges. Liberals run teachers unions. Liberals run the entire education bureaucracy - which normally is correctly recognized to be their strategy to indoctrinate young Americans.

However as we all know - liberalism has two halves. The first is ideology. The other half is greed.

That’s where this could get interesting. College liberals have been rapidly increasing college costs - to pay for the bloated liberal union bureaucracy each college builds and supports financially.

Lots and lots of liberals, see their future almost exclusively based on long years of college education learning sociology, environmental sciences, sexual identity studies, and other vapid pap. Fields of “study” which contribute zero useful qualifications to landing any actual job. These sort of inside-the-asylum circular jobs depend on the very bureaucracy which is built on the funding, based on college loans.....

That’s where irresistible force, meets rock.

Students now amass huge personal debt (often sums like $100,000) chasing after these leftist pipedreams. Huge sums of money even for someone in a fair-paying job.

Facing a shrinking economy, tighter hiring by bureaucracies and increased competition for new jobs with experienced professionals outsourced - a lot of college grads are going to be unable to pay huge amounts of outstanding student loans.

They can’t eliminate it in BK. They cannot default. They cannot find a job to pay it off...

Could be the card house becomes so out of control, liberalism itself simply crashes down all around the left - their cherished liberal colleges. Their valueless jobs. Their base of power itself in academia.

To young Americans:

Find some way to pay as you go for college. Your parents. A community college. Trade schools. Part-time while you work. Anything you can to avoid getting on that train which is about to crash.

Seriously. This is a huge train wreck about to happen.

Stockton Police, not DOE, denies breaking the door, etc. This is consistent with what the man said on the video—It was the DOE who did everything, and the Stockton police were just there to provide a “police presence.”

When will SWAT teams start asking questions like “why are we participating in a Collection Agency action?”?

Your'e kidding right? You must not understand the type of human drawn to government work. Humans who are inherently sadistic and power craven are naturally drawn to such jobs, SWAT especially.

Our Founders wrote at length on the evils of big government and the type of parasite drawn to such endeavors.

Our Republic is morphing into a socialist Hell right before our eyes. As a matter of principle, I have utter contempt for ALL SWAT people because they are a true face of the coming Police State.

Now the Federal Government is sending SWAT teams citizens that don’t pay their bills? Good grief!

I hope none of you folks this is a good thing. What if this is the IRS doing this to you?

This is not good. I can’t believe they sent a SWAT over a student loan.....

Think of Tax Dodgers like Tim Geithner. I can promise you owed more than this woman, but he did not have a SWAT team sent to his house. Moreover, think about all the government money that is wasted on B.S. It’s in the Billions of dollars... yet the Department of Education sends a SWAT team. What the hell is happening to our country.

The only time the DOE can call in the inspector general is if they believe it is a fraud case. There has to be a criminal intent. This guy’s wife probably defrauded the DOE.

Perfect example, a woman I worked with lied on a mortgage application. The bank contacted state law enforcement, who got a warrant and arrested my co-worker at work.
