Could you see a Romney '12 sign in your yard or sticker on your car?

Posted on 06/07/2011 8:01:36 AM PDT by Sybeck1

I remember when I put a McCain sticker on the car and the sign went up in the yard. It was October of 08. It took of course him picking Sarah as his VP spot. (I remember just before that the buzz was Joe Lieberman was going to be the one).

Now as I write Romney is in the lead of our pack. He of course is not the conservative favorite. Right not he has three strikes against him and they are big. Romneycare which was the model of Obamacare. Ethanol which is just the same old crony ways. And just last week he stated he believed in the Global Warming Hoax. So now our possible saviour is against us.

Knowing this could you see a Romney '12 sign in your yard or sticker on your car? That is a public statement, and not just simply going to the polls to vote against the One.

I for one can't see a sign placed in my yard or bumpersticker on my vehicle, no matter who is one the ticket with him.

But at least he is staunchly pro-gun, right? I mean, he would never sign a meaningless "assault weapon" law to outlaw rifles with bayonet lugs, would he?

I don’t want to be hasty. Would a Romney sign in my front yard keep the bicycle missionaries away from the house, or just attract more? I’m a practical man and want to think this through. The bicycle boys never bother me in my car so the bumper sticker is certainly out.

Romney is the head of the pack because the media likes his liberal bent. This suggests that they believe Obama is inept and might not be re-elected. Therefore, they need a rino on standby to take the top slot.

If they truly believe Obama to be inept, then Romney will get fabulous press AFTER the nomination. If not, then Romney will suddenly become the “insane Mormon pounding on your door to take you to Kolob.”

Palin or Cain or Perry. I’ll support any of the above three in any combination.

So be it. I will not support Mitt, nor, any other RINO the Establishment Republicans nominate. I do believe that the Republicans are stacking the deck to insure that he is nominated. “It is his turn.” “He’s paid his dues” “he is the only one who is electable”, and on, and on.

I don’t vote for socialists regardless of the letter after their name.

I’d rather see Russia from my yard than a Romney sign.

Bumper sticker? Yard sign? No.

Vote for him against Mao-Bama?

Likely.

Defeating Obama only to replace him with another liberal like Romney doesn’t accomplish anything.

If you think there is zero difference between Romney and Obama, we won't get anywhere in this discussion.

Like I said, I will work for the conservative candidate during the primary, but I will NOT "protest" vote in the general election.

I’ll vote for him only if he wins the nomination. If the absolute bottom line is between a rino and a communist in the general, I’ll have to go with Romney. But not in the primary.

Stating that you'll vote for anyone the GOP nominates this early in the game lessens the chances of getting a good candidate. It is pointless and counterproductive.

Then surely you also believe that stating you would never vote for a certain person would do the same. . .right?

I know and it’s actually gonna be a tough decision when I actually have to make it.

We have the opportunity to increase the Congress and take over the Senate with a filibuster proof majority.

But, this chumps the Country Club is pushing just pisses me off.

No way Romney, Gingrich, et al are players unless we have this opportunity.

They just wouldn’t be in the race and they are counting on tapping our passions and desires to attain those majorities and vote for them too.

Makes me sick.

Never. In fact, I will actively work to make sure he’s defeated if he’s the GOP nominee.

So you’re literally supporting 0bama!

Knock it off. Romney and Obama are both socialists who are enemies of social conservatives. Neither of them deserves conservative votes.

“We need to let the party elites know NOW that we will not support a Rino choice. They are counting on voters who WILL vote for “the lesser of two evils”.”

By all means. However, ultimately it’s a numbers game, and at this point, there aren’t enough “We’s” (ideological conservatives) to overwhelm the “elites”. And in the upcoming election, we’ll be even less relevant than usual, since support for Obama among Independents and the “Youth” vote has eroded.
