I SWEAR the left is clueless on any history they don't read in a nursery rhyme.
When you’re looking for doo-doo, you’ll think you see some until you get close and pay attention to what’s actually there. Lesson: the doo-doo is on your own spectacle lens.
Palin merely stated that Paul Revere “warned the British that they weren’t going to be taking away our arms.” An accurate statement, verified by scholars of history.
Any spin coming from Palin herself? No. (Another lesson in how to pay attention to what’s actually there.)
Palin fooled a lot of people. Some might have the grace to admit it, but I haven’t heard any yet.
I’m convinced she is playing gotcha, laying little traps for the leftist and MSM to walk into. She then turns the tables on them making them look foolish in public.
Paul Revere primarily “warned the Patriots that the British were coming to try to take their weapons cache”. He didn’t get around to “warning the British” until he was caught and I hardly think he planned that. And did he really “warn” them or “advise” them? Anyone who looks at this with clear eyes will admit that she was trying to reference his legendary “Ride” and not his post-capture actions.
She bungled the timeline. The idol worshipping whirling dervish contingent needs to get over it. It isn’t the first gaffe and certainly won’t be the only. It’s okay, really.
And no one has responded to the real issue, which is the delivery was extremely cringe-worthy. Very Zeroish.
No, be WE did. And what did it get us?
"Bush regrets WMD claims in Iraq"
"Bush regrets 'Mission Accomplished' banner"
"Bush regrets the 'cowboy talk' such as 'Bring it on'".
We done got thrown under the bus.
Stick to the issues... the economy... put OBAMA on the defensive and Sarah Palin get OFF the defensive and do what Bush and McCain refused to do.... put OBAMA and the democrats on the defensive.
Once you put them on the defensive the media gets too busy trying to bail them out to be correcting your 200 year old history story.
The buck stops at Sarah Palin. NOT the media.
It's time Obama answer to the American people NOT a candidate.
I appreciate that.
LLS
I got a better idea. Let's make this election about Obama and the economy. I think Sarah Palin should run against Obama and NOT the media.
It's time to take control of the issues that are being discussed rather than let the media control what is and is not being discussed.
It's time for Sarah Palin to be talking about what Obama's doing wrong and not talk about why she is right about Paul Revere. Paul Revere talk is what the media wants to see continue.
She should be putting the focus on the Obama economy. Put him on the defensive instead of running a campaign that's constantly got her on the defensive.
It's time Obama answer to the American people.
Question is, who will that candidate be that will put Obama in the spotlight of failure?
Palin has been putting Obama and the Democrats on the defensive. She has been doing it often and for some time now.
Amen to that
YES YES AND YES... his unpopularity on the ISSUES and NOT because of his relations with the media.
Amnesty... bail-outs...prescription drugs... McCAIN and RINOs... that's why we lost in 2006.
When republicans are called names such as "racists" by their own party they tend NOT to go out and vote.
Be careful how you treat other republican voters and be careful about what you may call them.
I've actually witnessed Palin supporters being accused of being "Palin Bashers" right here in FR by other Palin supporters.
You think that helps the cause? Me? I think it's no different than calling the Minutemen a bunch of racist.
With the exception of Donald Trump I have yet to see that happen (Obama on the defensive). I have seen other candidates at least trying to do that.
It's time to make Obama the focus on what's wrong, not the media.
NONESENSE! This thread is but another Palin on the defensive thread. This time it's her Paul Revere. I'm surprised this has started again. I thought it may be something she was working on.
If you gaffe (and I'm not saying she did) move on.
If Sarah Palin did not gaffe but still goes on the defensive about it... it will end as common knowledge that she indeed did gaffe. Staying on the issue in a no win situation.
It's common knowledge that Sarah Palin had said she could see Russia from her backyard even though she never even said it. The SNL character said it. But Palin supporters went on the defensive and now Sarah Palin owns it...and it's something she never really did.
Got the point? Move on.
It's OBAMA's economy, stupid.
NONESENSE!
BS! My comment stands.
Got the point? Move on. It's OBAMA's economy, stupid.
Sure it's the economy, stupid, so why don't you post about it?
Get it?
And I've witnessed people who have been critical of Palin when she has done something wrong, called worshippers.
I do, when it's the topic. It appears that the only discussions where Palin is mentioned are the ones keeping her on the defensive and that's NOT the place to be.
Even Michelle Bachmann has been out there pounding Obama and not running as "the victim" of the media. That gets us nowhere.
It seems any topic dealing with Sarah Palin would be off topic to a discussion about Obama and the economy. She seems to be running against the media and on the defensive.
A shame too. She ran Alaska. She's got the experience and knowledge to be President. But then again, so does Dick Cheney.
She'd make a good President. But in order to get there you got to be a good candidate.
Sure it's the economy, stupid, so why don't you post about it?
Because it would be considered "off topic" in a typical Sarah Palin thread. That's a shame.
Good deal then. Do you happen to know what they suspected the British soldiers would seize:
...it was supposed, that they were going to Lexington, by the way of Cambridge River, to take them, or go to Concord, to distroy the Colony Stores."...
Does this indicate they were after arms as Sarah Palin indicated?
Gov Palin knows more about the constitution and American history than any other politician, ever.
I stand corrected, and used this information to utterly shame some left wingnuts who were bashing Palin on facebook. The conversation was pulled there shortly after my post.
But...when they next start Palin-bashing...will I remind them of their screw up?--you betcha!
While I hate doing this kind of gotcha politics...I am just so sick of being sick of being sick of the vile slander against this woman and am determined to do my part to shame those who participate in it.
I agree that Palin should just move on.
But I do not think the rest of us should tolerate her being unfairly bashed on facebook and around water coolers. I really appreciate this information to that end.
