Just one question for each Republican presidential candidate

....if I had a chance to pose just one, here's the one I'd put to some of the major Republican contenders:

Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the House: ........Why do Republican officeholders shy away from you in such numbers and with such fervor, and....do you combine a second-class personality with a first-class intellect?

Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts:.....So: Do you compete in Iowa?

Tim Pawlenty, former governor of Minnesota:......Did your actions as House majority leader and then as governor ease or exacerbate the current fiscal crisis in Minnesota?

Jon M. Huntsman Jr., former governor of Utah:.....How could you serve a president as ambassador to perhaps the most important nation on Earth and then run against him for president?

Rick Perry, governor of Texas:...how does a man who believes that the federal government's role should be minimized and that the states' roles should be maximized explain why he wants to step away from the governor's office in Austin — where there are no term limits — and move into the Oval Office in Washington?

Rick Santorum, former senator from Pennsylvania, and Michele Bachmann, House member from Minnesota.......Mr. Santorum, having lost your re-election bid in 2006 by 18 percentage points and you, Ms. Bachmann, having run behind the GOP presidential candidate in every county in your district in 2008, how can you expect to run credible elections nationwide?

Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska:...Why did you resign a position of political leadership with barely any notice and no apparent reason, and if it was to influence the national debate, how have you done so?

Ron Paul, House member from Texas.....Are you enhancing or diminishing your views by making them the basis of a presidential campaign, and do you risk becoming something of a Harold Stassen?

Yes, indeed. She explained it THOROUGHLY. And she left her lt gov in charge as well, no discontinuity of leadership.

But, since the facts don’t fit the meme, the facts are ignored as if they didn’t exist.

Romney coming out with the blanket statement of support for the belief in anthropogenic global warming was his final coffin nail.

Conservatives, who have no need to boost their sense of self worth by “saving the erf” which doesn’t need saving,
know it’s a hoax with an agenda to curtail liberty,

and we’re having none of it.

Perry - In 500 words or less, explain why it is Conservative to issue an Executive Order mandating that all women between 13-21 in your state be immunized with Gardisil.

In fairness to Perry, he backed away from that when he was set straight. Can't say the same thing about the mob who shoved universal health care down our throats.

An excellent question. And I would imagine that any politician would say "Yes".

And so the follow-up would be: "How can you justify the EPA, Dept of Energy, Dept of Education, Homeland Security, FDA, HHS and other government bureaucracies which are not mentioned in the Constitution and for which no amendments have been put forth?"

The case was Gonzales v. Raich, not Gonzales v. Reich as stated in the original post, hence my confusion.

I immediately envisioned a prize fight between Gonzales and Reich.

More simple than that, ask if they’re attempting to uphold and defend the Constitution!

So far NOT one single has, and IF they are elected they perjury themselves the moment at the swearing in ceremony they put their hand on the bible with the other raise saying they will defend and uphold the Constitution, because they have NEVER, not one of them, spoken up about the crime perpetrated by the present p-Resident in the Whit-Hut!!

Instead they are ALL enabler of keeping this crime swept under the rug. I will not have a candidate to vote for in 2012, because then I become an enabler as well!!!

My question for all the candidates, of any party, no matter what office they may be running for:

Are you still part of the “we” in “”we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men...”?

If the answer is “no,” I have no further questions for the candidate. They are disqualified.

If their answer is “yes,” the follow-on is “what will you do within the lawful jurisdiction of your office to assure that every single person’s God-given, unalienable rights are protected, from the moment of their creation until natural death?”


If they get this right, they’ll get most things right.

If they get this wrong, you can’t trust them on anything.

His Romney question was lame. Why not something related to the absence of military service by he and his family, or his endless flip flops, our banning assault rifles, or Romneycare?

Dittos.

I used to be ambivalent about Romney, he would never be my choice in the primary but if he got nominated so what. After this statement I am now “anti” Romney. I am firmly in the camp of AABR (Almost Anybody But Romney).

What an idiot.

Anybody that still believes in man made global warming after the last 11 years of cooling must have rocks in his head.

I have always liked Palin. After her poor showing with Katie Couric I was disappointed but still liked her. The more I read about her the more I like her.

I think she has little chance of winning the nomination but that is who I will vote for.
