I am not intolerant of amateur productions. In fact some of them can be quite good.

Many of my students have been in productions with local theater companies. I have been to see the following shows with my students in the lead rolls:

Gypsy (amazing 16 year old Kristen playing a very convincing middle aged stage mother)
My Fair lady (Kristen again!)
The King and I (14 year old Kristen as Tuptim,)
A Christmas Carol(Kristen as the Caroler/narrator)
Cats(17 yer old Liz as Rumpleteezer)
Beauty and the Beast(Liz in a Village Girl Roll)
Seusical(Liz as Jojo)
Once Upon This Island (Liz as the goddess of the sea)
West Side Story(Liz as Anita)

Gold Coast Grill (12 year old Addison on Tenor Sax, gigging every Saturday for over a year)

Various Joints around town (19 year old Josh Cossette, Jazz Pianist)

FAU Commercial Music Recital (Kristen again)

And of course, ten years of my two recitals a year.

Never an agenda to be seen anywhere. Just the joy of making music.

Maybe that’s why i was so appalled by this one.

I was afraid my placid and tolerant facade would start leaking.

Woohoo! That is awesome, Drumbo! Sounds like it’s doing very well.

Ours has had a bit of a challenge because of no rain, but
we do have a little “crop” of tomatoes sitting on the window sill ripening.

We have some nicer weather here but very windy past 2 days. Better up your way now too? Hope you didn’t have any bad storms. Mass. Tornado the other day, was real close to where my sister lives. Crazy spring weather.

They’ll get there! This plant just kinda came up on it’s own and has done well in spite of our drought. It started dying back where the tomatoes were, so hubby pruned it and now new branches are coming out. Hope they produce some fruit, too! :)
