Anthony Weiner: I’m done providing non-answers to you all (New Media Strategy: Silence)
Hotair ^ | 06/02/2011 | Ed Morrissey

After spending the last two days generating more questions than answers, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) held a press conference this morning to announce that he had nothing more to say. Saying that the “prank has apparently been successful,” Weiner told the media that he had “answered questions extensively … that anyone wanted to put” and that he would have no more to say on the matter of a salacious picture sent out on his Twitter feed:

Funny, most of the media is under the impression that Weiner hasn’t really answered two questions in particular:

•Was the picture in the tweet of Weiner or not? Weiner’s answer is that he’s not sure, which prompted the follow-up question of how many crotch shots does Weiner have of himself, or that others have of him? We’re still waiting for that answer.

•Why won’t Weiner ask for an investigation of the hack into his account? Weiner’s response yesterday that he wanted to save taxpayer money doesn’t seem like a credible response for a man who wanted the federal government to institute a single-payer system that had Uncle Sam running the health-care sector. Better yet, why is Weiner still using the same Twitter account if he really did get hacked, as he claims?

Weiner might be done talking about this, but he’s the only one who is. He might have been better off with this media strategy from the beginning, but it’s far too late to adopt it now.

Frankly I don’t care about this - we have much bigger problems. X-rated language alert: It looks like a dildo stuck under a pair of briefs. The thin isn’t even connected to the body in a physiologically accurate way.

“why is Weiner still using the same Twitter account if he really did get hacked, as he claims? “

If its been hacked once, it could be again. Seems like the first thing you would do is change the account so more funny photos won’t be posted. Hmmmm?

I only care inasmuch as I find it hilarious because his name is “Weiner.”

No Comment might have worked were it to have been used at the beginning of this “story”.

Resign already! That’s what Repubs are forced to do.

“Packer” would be the “correct” term.

Why let a Hussein Head Democrat get away with something a Republican would have had to resign for DAYS ago?

He is a Communist hell bent on the destruction of America. He was right there mouthing off how every Republican that did something stupid should be punished and resign. Why the hell would/should we lighten up on him?

Exactly. Beyond laughing hysterically at the guy’s “defense,” I want to see if media pressure finally gets this guy to resign, like it would a Republican. Or will it end like Rangel — “Nothing to see here. Move on!”

Fine. We’ll still get plenty of Weiner stories when the divorce hits the papers, especially if Huma gets nasty about it and starts leaking to the press. We’ll also get stories when you agonize over whether to run for NYC mayor and the press brings all this up again.

Anything which embarrasses the RATs is good. This is an excellent opportunity to bash this asshat and make him look like an idiot. It should not be allowed to pass with prissy disdain as if the American voter is sooo concerned about policy that they overlook political foibles. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Weiner has set a new standard for looking like a fool.

Here is a question the media should ask him: “When are you going to RESIGN for conduct unbecoming of Congress by sending a picture of your Weiner to a college girl who is NOT your wife?”

If he were a Texas Republican the press would be asking about the timetable of his resignation. That’s why this story matters.

The left basks in the (non) morality of Frank and Clinton....so it will definitely be “move on—nothing to see here!” and since they own the MSM press, that idea will be pumped into the heads of the masses 24/7.

The only time they think “moral actions” matter is when it can be used to kill opponents....nothing to do with right and wrong. It is all politics.

Frankly, it does matter—character always mattered in politics, although leftists/marxists/progressives say it never matters, just so they can continue to corrupt the laws and deny the fundamental idea that our rights come from God and not them.

When you have no standards, people always get “screwed”, people are nothing, but means to an end. His “wife” is a prop....he is probably homosexual anyways...getting so excited at looking at his organ. Lust is never “love” and is always about using someone else for selfish ends. Marrying his “wife” was a ruse and his actions prove it.

Democratic Media Plan:

Day 1: Lie about involvement.

Day 2: Imply that it was a Republican conspiracy.

Day 3: Hold presser where questions are either not taken or blown off.

Day 4: Announce that all questions have been fully answered, the subject is exhausted, and that it is time to get back to the people’s business, which is first and foremost ignoring the people’s questions.

Day 32: Get enormous traction in the media attacking some Republican for not resigning over a similar incident.

Somebody needs to look into Weiner’ Junk File on his computer. It might come up with something revealing.
