May 25, 2011 Jews in Name Only By Ben Shapiro 5/25/2011
In 2008, Obama grabbed 78 percent of the Jewish vote. Even the most wildly optimistic polling today shows that Obama's support remains high among Jews. It's a result that Republicans simply can't understand -- why do so many Jews continue to support a president who has shown time and again that he stands against the State of Israel? Why the reflexive lever-pulling on behalf of a man who appoints anti-Semites to positions of high power, attends a virulently anti-Semitic church for 20 years, and sees Israel as the cause of the West's conflict with the Muslim world?
The answer is deceptively simple: the Jews who vote for Obama are, by and large, Jews In Name Only (JINOs). They eat bagels and lox; they watch "Schindler's List"; they visit temple on Yom Kippur -- sometimes. But they do not care about Israel. Or if they do, they care about it less than abortion, gay marriage and global warming.

“In 2008, Obama grabbed 78 percent of the Jewish vote”.
Yeah this will dearly cost him in 2012:
He’ll only get 77.8% of the vote.
I quit going to shul when the lay leader told me that she couldn’t defend any of Israel’s actions against the Palestinians. My daughter quit when the LL tried to teach that Israel was a communist nation. (as if that were a good thing)
It wasn’t just that the LL thought this way, it’s that the majority of the congregation agreed with her. And we had holocaust survivors in our shul!!
Sorry, but I can’t be a member of a group that thinks this way. My home is now my temple.

Does she like anyone?
As the churches have been infiltrated, so have the shuls.
Unfortunately you have to include Christians in name only (CINOS) in there too. Large numbers of these can be found among all denominations.
The only way this (Jews voting for Obama) makes sense to me is to think of it as these folks are simply liberals first and Jews second. Or, they are liberals who just happen to be Jewish.
I would think that love of God ( who is the *one* and only God) and then one’s neighbor, as one’s self, would be the “first and foremost” of the Jewish identity. This principle is found in both the new and old testaments. From this would come identity with the Jewish people.
But...Hey,..I'm not Jewish. Maybe I have this all wrong.
If Jews who don’t love Israel are Jews in name only, does that make them Italian?
So the answer that is hard to understand, is actually the most easy to recognize - self interest.
Christian-hating liberals come in all ethnicities.
‘bammers is on “their side” in that conflict.
It’s like they are lining up to help Obambi build the ovens!
The JINO’s will keep voting for the Leftist that hate them because they think the Christian Right aka American Majority is their true enemy and they will continue to do anything they can to destroy the bedrock culture of this country as evidence by their support of open borders, Soviet spies, Global Orgs (UN, IMF, EU). The Republicans will do much better if they concentrate on their natural constituents and ignore the small business, working citizens, freedom for all and refuse to play the PC/Commie games!
Time to return to our roots and get away from the Neo-Con falsity of spreading ‘democracy’ at the tip of a spear or by throwing $$$ around!
“The only way this (Jews voting for Obama) makes sense to me is to think of it as these folks are simply liberals first and Jews second. Or, they are liberals who just happen to be Jewish.”
Or, they are liberals who (just happen to have ancestors that were Jewish) and LIBERALISM is their religion. -fixed it.
actually, they’re just be taking nice little eco-friendly vacation. The socialists will give them a free train trip to communes where they can work making things for the state, like uniforms and they can all sleep in large, eco-friendly barrack type buildings, and get free tattoos and haircuts. A select few will assist the state with identifying the sick and elderly ones and make sure they get extra special attention.
It’s heartening when someone makes a stand. Well done.
What really irritated me was these were the same people who were rabid when it came to kosher cooking and the ceremonies. They loved the rigidity of the religion, but hated Israel. I never understood how someone could love G-d, but hate his nation.
The local Israelis only come on the holidays. And people wonder why.
One of the oldest stories in the book. Golden calf, anyone?
