TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Guerena family attorney Christopher Scileppi said he's working with a dead Marine's honor, and a family's grief. He wants to see proof to back up attorney Mike Storie's account of the SWAT raid that left Jose Guerena dead.
Storie held a news conference Thursday and released several new details about the May 5 raid at the Guerena house that have been kept private until now. He detailed why SWAT was serving a search warrant and what they found, and gave a reason for why paramedics waiting at the scene were not allowed inside the house to treat Guerena after he was shot. Storie told KGUN9 that a SWAT robot was sent into the home to examine the threat level, and by then, it was too late for Guerena. Scileppi has continued to argue that Guerena thought he was defending his home from an invasion when SWAT broke down his door.
"The SWAT team has lawyered up and all Mr. Storie, their lawyer, did today was attempt to discredit a Marine who served two tours abroad and put out statements unsupported by facts," Scileppi told KGUN9 News. Now he's calling for Storie and Sheriff Clarence Dupnik to release the reports and documents about the raid.

Scileppi disputed Storie's account that Guerena ducked or fell into a room where SWAT couldn't see him and be sure he was no longer a threat, and that's why they didn't order medical care for him. Scileppi says blood stains in the house make it look like Guerena went down in the hall where SWAT could see him easily.

May be, but he is a leftist prick too.
I just called my brother in Tucson and he said that the Democratic machine that runs Tucson had complete control of the media so there wasn’t much word getting out. The sheriff just wants everyone to quit talking so everything will die down.
Standards for all law enforcement have dropped to bargain basement levels over recent years. Many are corrupt and even drug-addicted. It seems we have some local cop/sheriff in our Middle Tennessee area caught at something or other every few days or once a week at least. And those are just the ones who get caught.
Is that a solid number?
It was in one of the articles posted on FR. I also remember one of the posters saying that it is typical for a warrant to be issued for a specific location... that only arrest warrants are for a specific individual.
Sounds reasonable to me.
My theory is that smaller cities, suburban and rural communities are victimized by the cops because of job justification and a judicial bench with a false sense of priorities. They see the public as the soil in which they take root. In large cities, they don't have to take root to stay needed.
Tennessee ranks 8th in the nation for rates of Police Misconduct.

But why did they target this guy? Something is rotten in Pima county!
Your right. The Sheriff!
I've avoided bringing this up until now, but have definitely noticed that as FR has moved more conservative, i.e. more VOCALLY conservative, the bootlickers that used to even serve as moderators here have either changed their tune or moved on.
Nicely done JimRob whatever it was!
Wow, these sleazebags are trying to set this dead Marine up as a home invasion thug
I'm speechless, but not surprised
Yes, the smaller jurisdictions and the county sheriff’s departments seem to be the worst.
Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.
Whether it's republicans rolling granny off a cliff instead of fund medicare, while you're organizing care rationing panels behind the scenes, or calling oil companies cronie capitalists while you give a wink-n-nod to General Electric running policy and tax law in the whitehouse, the tune is alway's the same. You fake outrage at the other side for the crimes you are committing at the very moment.
How the media doesn't look sideways at the tactic when it's used is beyond stupid.
After taking sixty bullets I doubt he moved much myself. That is an average of 14.2 rounds per officer. Some fire control there, clowns.
A former Marine, 2 tours in Iraq...was asleep after his shift in the mines - wonder where he found time to run a criminal organization?
Neighbors say - no sirens, no lights.
Is wife sees a man outside the window pointing a gun at her. She screams for her husband to wake up. He tells her to take their child and hide in the closet. (Would he do that if he knew they were police?) After 6 days of maintaining he shot at them, they finally had to admit he never took his safety off.
71 shots - 60 hit him. I doubt he crawled anywhere.
71 bullets piercing walls - with a child in the house.
His wife call 911 and an EMT team that was at a station 1 block away was there immediately. They were refused entry for over an hour.
This Sheriff DipStick is the one, remember, after the massacre that left, among other, a judge and a little girl dead and Gabby Gifford with a bullet in her head - spouted off that it was no doubt some disgruntled Tea Party guy.
Yep, we can sure believe whatever comes out of THAT office.
I wouldn't doubt some stuff got planted in that hour and 14 minutes after the MURDER. And even if not, heck, I'm an old great granny. They could come in my house and 'find' weapons, some dark clothing (that might be used in a night raid to look like police - uh huh) - the only thing they wouldn't find is a bullet proof vest...not that they'd have a hard time planting one of those. But I wouldn't think it that unusual for a former Marine with two combat tours to also have one, especially since there had already been family members gunned down in a night raid of criminals.
But we must remember, returning vets, along with Tea Party folk ARE listed on the suspected terrorist list by the Homeland Security...therefore, the police would be so trained to suspect, especially with a chief who has already shown his bias against Tea Party folk.
WE live in dangerous times.
There is going to be a special place for this bunch in Tucson. I hope they think twice before showing up at the front door in a Toys for Tots drive by the marines.
I’m not kidding when I say that I want that entire squad doing life.
yes.
I’m just saying the widow needs a real fire breathing lawyer to tear things up.
That is an interesting theory about blood pressure but even accepting that it simply supports my contention that he wasn’t moving much. No BP no consciousness.
