The House Democrats campaign wing is trolling for Medicare protesters at town halls this week in 20 Republican-held congressional districts, The Caucus Blog of The New York Times reports. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DSCC), which has launched a website called Dont End Medicare, will provide picket signs and budget talking points to anyone who wants to attend.
DSCC robo-calls denouncing Medicare reform are going out to seniors in Florida, Arizona, and other states in an attempt to ratchet up the noise level at constituent meetings with pro-reform lawmakers.
Republicans say House Democrats are showing more interest in GOP meetings than in their own.

Great logo. Perfect.
A tactic that I have thought of is simple but potentially devastating.
When a disrupter shows up, have the Republican invite them up on stage. Have them sit or stand in a place of prominence and ask them for their name and publicly “out” them. There is nothing like shining a light on a cockroach to get them to disappear.
Yup.
I smell an opportunity. Perhaps I could recruit some MD Freepers to attend the next time Elijah Cummings does a town hall...
Maybe its my vindictive side, but I say we fight fire with fire.
I love how the conservatives show up for events because their hearts are in it. The dems have to “recruit”. Mindless sheep.
Moveon TRIED to disrupt Lt Col Allen West

“Recruit” usually means “pay”.

Watch for the form letters to show up in your paper and all over the web...
And it’s up to us to expose it....like we exposed ellie light....
Take a walk through some non-prof funding and job posts...
I like it.
Ask them some pointed questions back.
To defeat the left, expose the left.
We don’t need to disrupt theirs, we just need to fill ours and not allow the illusion that our senators do not have the support they need to keep fighting! There are just too many people out there that watch only a snip of “news” and form their options, that’s it. We need to fill our town halls and help eliminate their capacity to control our message.
I’m not playing games...;-)
great chance for ya to get a bunch of material as to how the g-o-p@@@@@s are ill prepared for the boilerplate talking points and visual aides that the commtards will be bearing...
Democrats are refusing to hold town halls because they are afraid to answer legitimate questions about their plan to empower unelected bureaucrats to cut Medicare and endanger seniors access to treatment, said Paul Lindsay, a National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman.
MSNBC was reporting the website the other day urging viewers to go to the Town Hall meetings with Democrat talking points. This should be no surprise, it's standard political strategy.
It's up to Republicans to have a bullet proof set of answers to the well known Democrat talking points and so far they have been put on Defense, Even Bachmann was backtracking on her support of the Ryan plan after calls from angry voters. I saw a clip of her in an interview saying she was worried the Ryan plan could hurt (future) seniors.
Have these guys ever thought of having dry run mock Town hall meetings BEFORE THE REAL ONES with paid Democrats (or good actors) throwing out simulated Democrat talking points, like FNC kind of does on weekends during their mini-debates? Weeks ago I called up Ryan's office and lectured them on this and gave them some tips. (not that it does any good.) How much do we pay these morons?
Thanks for your service :)
They were pretty badly beaten up here in Wisconsin. Keep your eye on our state. We’re majorly changing our state. We broke through the two lib strongholds, Milwaukee and Madison.
I kind of feel for Illinois, they are conservative, they have to battle Chicago and East St. Louis.
Wisconsin is conservative, everyone thinks we’re lib, but it’s a SMALL demographic area that has the population that votes lib and makes it seem like we are blue. Illinois has Chicago, we only have Milwaukee. Illinois has so much more of a battle to fight than Wisconsin does.
Thank God, we broke through that barrier. And I feel (yeah, the touchy feely thing), we’ll from now on move forward with conservative values. Things have changed, dramatically. Everything you think of Wisconsin, that we’re libs, is untrue, we’ve been fighting for years and years. Gore barely won by 5000 some votes. Feingold barely won the last two elections.
We broke that barrier with Ron Johnson and David Prosser.
And now, we’re passing voter ID, the libs won’t be able to flock to our state, we’re going to have ‘true’ elections next year. We fought voter ID and won.
