Newt lost his way supporting global warming and some other crazy ideas. I can’t support him. He did a lot of good in 1994 and I am grateful for that. I don’t hate the guy as do many FReepers. But his time has come and gone.
Conservatives won’t support him. Liberals won’t support him. Independents will find someone else. Who the heck is going to support Newt Gingrich for President? I guess I don’t understand why he is running.

No retreads.
I would be more excited by a flying fart out of a gnats ass.
I want Palin to announce.

The only person that mystiquely fires up the conservative base, is that Christie dude from Jersey. I don’t know much about him,..but everytime i hear him speak,..he is straight forward,..never with a script, and what he says makes sense, and people nods their heads. Too bad he isn’t running. Guys like him come along once in a generation. Seems a little crude, but maybe the conservative base needs something else than recycled lifetime politicos. Why can’t we find a former veteran,..who became a CEO of a successful business, has a decent marital track record with kids, that will run for president? Is that too hard to find?

Remember that old line from 1976, I think it was. Morris K. Udall came into a store in NH and told the men gathered there that he was running for President. They said, “Yea, we heard. We were just laughing about that.”

I was just thinking that we can’t win in 2012 without with the hardcore radical socialist vote. :)

With any degree of luck Gingrich will find out early that he is as popular as a presidential candidate is as would be a spitting cobra.

He's just repositioning himself to get some media face time for a book or something. He is not serious about this, I guarantee. Although I would love to see him in a debate with Obozo. Whatever else Newt may or may not be, his skill in that arena is pretty legendary... Unfortunately, it's not enough to get him MY vote. His baggage sinks him before that ship ever even leaves the dock.

Newt, you’re a fantastic idea guy and I really admire you for that. But you’ll never be POTUS. Get over it already. Go teach or join a think tank. You’ll be much more appreciated.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think these losers running for POTUS, who must know from the getgo they have the chance of an ice cube in hell, are really jockeying for future assignments, be there in the media, K Street, or in the next administration, if their side happens to win, that is to say, the whole campaign’s purpose to keep one’s name in the news until the election.
