Gov. Bobby Jindal arrived in the United States in utero, his mother about three months pregnant. jindal-birth-certificate.jpgView full sizeGov. Bobby Jindal's birth certificate

As he wrote last year in his book, "Leadership and Crisis," his mother had been offered a scholarship in 1970 to complete a graduate degree in nuclear physics at LSU.

When she informed the university that she couldn't accept the scholarship because she was pregnant, "LSU wrote back and promised her a month off for childbirth if she changed her mind. LSU was so accommodating, and the opportunity to come to America so thrilling, that my parents accepted.

"So, my parents stepped out on faith, secured green cards, packed up a few suitcases, said their goodbyes, and took off for this exotic new place called Baton Rouge, Louisiana."

.
Still trolling I see.

The founders most certainly did not have sending our military around the world to tamper in the affairs of other soverign nations in mind!

Until Obama, the Natural Born clause was well understood, as evidenced by three court decisions that cited the need for citizen parents.

Why do you wish to defaecate on our constitution?

Vattel’s book was present at the writing of the Constitution, we know that from witnesses at the event, and the book is even mentioned in Article I! "That means absolute crap. There were hundreds of books present at the writing - including the Koran." I have the complete list used by the Founders. The Koran is not listed. Below is page 83 of the Journal of Congress 1783. Wrong!

Three SCOTUS decisions backed it up by specifically stating that Citizen Parents are required.

Why do you wish to defaecate on our constitution?

My understanding is that George Romney’s father was not a polygamist, though his grandfather may have been.

Everybody I know was saying it.

And yet we only started to hear about it here when bloggers wrote about it in late-2008. If this was something we all already knew from school, why would you let Obama off the hook for so long?

And what if you were born in a foreign country to two US parents *genetically* but only one on the birth certificate?

Because genetic fingerprinting was not invented until 1985, you could find yourself being deemed not a US citizen at all if the mother was under 19 at the date of birth.

If you were deemed a non-us citizen, you couldn't get a social security number or get a passport.

What do you do if you want to work and travel Internationally, or fund your education?

Yes he is.. Then I guess Mike Duakis should not have run for President.. His parents were immigrants.

No need to sell or buy...it is the way the founders wanted it.

Unless those military babies are born in one of the fifty states or seven territories, they’re not born jus solis.

Dukakis might have been a legitimate POTUS candidate though he had immigrant parents: they were here 10-13 years before he was born, and in that time may have become naturalized citizens. I don’t know if or when his parents became American citizens, but if they were citizens by the time he was born, then he was legitimate as a POTUS candidate.

The 60% that honors the constitution will definitely have a case.

Jindal will not run anyway, but there are already 13 states that will stop him, or any other person that is not a Natural Born citizen.

Stop crapping on my constitution.

The news media are the ones that let Obama off the hook.

They refused to present the news.

Obama himself declared himself born in Kenya when running for other offices, in 2004 for one.

It’s been a common topic here since 2004.

Troll somewhere where people are less informed.

It’s my constitution too. And you’re in a very tiny minority. A person born here (other than a few special cases) is a “natural born” citizen under current law.

That’s the law. Save your breath.

No, it is you that is in a very small minority, as the polls clearly have shown.

We have the constitution on our side and the fact that at least 60% 0f us are aware of what Narural Born means.

Just being born here means nothing. The constitution is the law, and Marbury v. Madison says that you are full of $h!t.

Go back to DU or HuffingtonPuffington comPost.

One thing I have noticed in the MSM and Dem corners, is that they are listing everyone who has run for President, or a possible contender, who has immigrant parents. They are IMHO trying to confuse immigrant parents who did not become US citizens before the prospective candidate’s birth, with immigrants whom became citizens. Dukakis’ parents came here when they were 16 and 9 respectively.

i agree. everyone on here is focusing on jindal running for president and being eligible. they’re missing the point which is take a look at jindal’s BC. that is plainly and obviously a REAL BC. then look at that piece of crap obama released. the MSM and the so-called administration officials should be ashamed to even refer to it as a BC.

WHERE’S DONALD TRUMP??!!
