When she informed the university that she couldn't accept the scholarship because she was pregnant, "LSU wrote back and promised her a month off for childbirth if she changed her mind. LSU was so accommodating, and the opportunity to come to America so thrilling, that my parents accepted.
"So, my parents stepped out on faith, secured green cards, packed up a few suitcases, said their goodbyes, and took off for this exotic new place called Baton Rouge, Louisiana."

Could be. I doubt SCOTUS will rule on any of it. The only good thing is that the Left, if Jindal runs, can only attack him for having non-citizen parents. Same with (barf) Romney or Rubio. We know they are hypocrites BUT, this discussion about Obama’s BC will be fresh in everyone’s mind. Unlike 1880 and Arthur. Although Arthur was a very good President, unlike Obama. Arthur came from an abolitionist family, started reform of public service, although he did work for a NEW YORK CITY BOSS, and one could NOT question his loyalty to his birth country. Something I can NOT say about Obama. He appears to dislike his country of birth.

They could. They would. But, they’d have a heck of a lot of sites to scrub. lol
Mitt Romney’s father, George, was viewed as eligible to hold the office of president, so I’m pretty sure he is also.
They did. They drew from the best to form a more “perfect union”. The Founding Fathers were brilliant. To meet them and pick their brain............ Not only brilliant, but courageous. Their heads were on the line, literally.
They weren’t naturalized until after the birth. They were only here 6 months prior.
That I understand and was spelled out in the requirements for President. The Founders referred to those that were residents of the Newly Formed Country that were subjects of Britain. They had to be grandfathered in, otherwise, no Presidents.
In rulings and Amendments added later, there in lies the confusion.
As to loyalty, I have NO DOUBT that Jindal, Rubio, Romney (barf) have no other loyalty to any other country than to which they were born in.
I have NO DOUBT that they would be many times over, a better President than the current one.
I will never forget that Barry could have settled the Lakin case by pulling out his BC, but let a serviceman get jailed. Then he jokes and pulls out his BC. What a Commander-in-Chief? Why would any serviceman trust him? Why should they?

Without relying on Leo D research on the NBC issue, which I have read AND the allegations of Arthur lying about time his mother spent out of the country, where his father lived, etc., I did my own research and have read a couple books.
Chester Arthur, while IMHO a very good President, left many questions about his life, as he instructed the night before his death of Bright’s Disease, to have his papers, ALL OF THEM, BURNED. There isn’t much existing on the personal front.
This is a great quote from him, which might explain the BURNING of all his papers:
“I may be president of the United States, but my private life is nobody’s damned business.”
Though it does not change or justify AIIS1 requirement. It is worthy to note that at least Jindals parents did become citizens. This is compared to Obamas 2 (or so) fathers that were NEVER citizens and a mother who spent most of her adult life outside the US.
Obama's mother was even in the Philippines in 1964 when he was (supposedly) 2 years old. See Obama Seniors newly released records for this tidbit. So was Obama Jr with her while she was in the Philippines in 1964?
Baby Obama should have had a frequent flyer card in starting in 1961. Hawaii to Seattle and back in 1961 and 1962. Philippines in 1964. Indonesia and back, multiple times between 1967 to 1971. He was probably a million miler on Pan Am before he was 12!
What else is interesting, of course I can’t find it now (scrubbed), is that Barry (known then as) was apparently left with his Step-father in Jakarta, while his mother lived several hours away. This was an Indonesian story, written by someone who knew Ann.
Not that I can see, though there are so many people saying he isn't that it's hard to google what Jindal himself may have said.
From a political point of view it would have been quite stupid for him to have made such a statement. If somebody else has a quote, they should post it.

Well...Alexander Hamilton would disagree with you. "No person shall be eligible to the office of President of the United States unless he be now a Citizen of one of the States, or hereafter be born a Citizen of the United States."
The requirement was to be BORN a citizen...not made one. The courts have ruled that as well.
Jus soli OR Jus sanguinis are good for making you a natural born citizen. Otherwise, there are a whole lot of military kids who are not eligible to be president since they were born in overseas hospitals. Now...you gonna tell me that the founding fathers had that in mind? To DQ the kids of military members born while their parents served overseas?
That will be a tough sell...and I will never buy.

You're correct that Hamilton would disagree; but his proposal was overruled by the Convention, when
"... they upgraded the Citizenship requirement in Article II from simply being a "born Citizen" as proposed by Hamilton to that of being a "natural born Citizen" as recommended by Jay as a strong check against foreign influence on the persons in the future who would be President and Commander of the military. And that meaning was understood to be a person born in the country to parents who are Citizens of the country. Such a person has sole allegiance and unity of citizenship at birth to only the United States. That was the intent of the founders and framers for that legal term of art, natural born Citizen, in Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution. This restriction on the type of Citizen who could be President was a national security issue to them back then and it is still a national security issue to us now."
