Sacramento Bee ^ | 5/5/11 | Mark Glover

For the seventh year in a row, a survey of chief executives has ranked California as the nation's worst state in which to do business.

More than 500 U.S. CEOs polled by Greenwich, Conn.-based Chief Executive magazine based their opinions on numerous factors, including regulations, tax policies, work force quality, education resources, quality of living and infrastructure.

Why are the most basic principles of operating a business so difficult for liberals to grasp?

How can the philosophical center of liberalism be such a bad business environment?

Why is Hollywood production fleeing to Vancouver?

"Texas topped the magazine's "Best & Worst States" list for the seventh consecutive time."

I'm really not trying to tweak you on this dragnet2. We've had some spirited discussions previously and your thoughts are always appreciated. I realize that both of our states have real problems with illegals and with skyrocketing birthrates among the third-worlders and looters.

The reason I bring this up is to get an idea of what dangers signs you saw in California and when they started to raise cautionary flags.

Thanks.

Utopia cannot arrive until far more illegal aliens get there. Especially from places like Somalia, Pakistan, and Yemen. Mexicans are just too hard working, and not as prone to anti-Americanism.

Oh, that's easy. In my experience, they're f**king morons.

As a business owner in the state of California, I couldn't agree more.

This state, its governor, its lawmakers and a litany of regulatory bureaucracies could scarcely do a better job of both hurting businesses and running them out of the state.

There aren't hardly any CEOs here so how could they complain about Maine?

Southern California is to far along the road to a third world county hell hole it cannot be saved. Another 10 years and it will look like Juarez Mexico.

No surprise. Seems most everyone in CA knows this, except those in Sacramento.

That being said, ya couldn’t get me to live in Texas if you took me there in a complementary, fully stocked stretch limo. Personally I prefer near perfect weather *year* round, mountains, deserts and beaches all within a short drive. Besides, the endeavors I pursue, are all here.

Still, I know a bunch of people getting rich in CA. And, CA is still the richest state in the Union.

It's not over yet for this great state. It's just too damn pretty.

Yeah and the largest economy by *far* compared to any state. I'll go down swinging here, not a problem.

It has the best and worst of just about everything. Personally, there is no where else I'd rather be.
