Debra Burlingame, the sister of Charles "Chic" Burlingame (pilot of the plane that crashed into the Pentagon) met with President Obama today, along with other families who were victims of 9/11. Burlingame said she confronted Obama about Attorney General Eric Holder prosecuting the men who interrogated KSM, which may have produced intelligence leading us to bin Laden.
Burlingame describes the encounter with Obama: "As a former attorney I know you can't tell the Attorney General what to do, he said, 'No, I can't.' But I said 'we -- that shouldn't stop you from giving your opinion. We wouldn't be here today if they hadn't done their jobs. Can't you at least give them your opinion.'
And he said 'no I won't,' and he turned around and walked away."

Was the SEAL team that took out Osama all white? A law-school friend of mine, who is black, is a former SEAL, so I have a hard time picturing a team of SEALs as lily white.
Interestingly, Rush talked today about how Holder is still investigating and prosecuting CIA operatives for “harsh interrogation” of KSM and other captured terrorists, and still prosecuting our own military people for other alleged WOT crimes (like the one terrorist who claimed a soldier gave him a fat lip). I swear, Burlingame must have listened to Rush today, or her confronting Ubama on this issue is an astonishing coincidence.
I no longer consider him a “person”.
I do have to wonder if Debra Burlingame was invited by mistake. Obummer has made it a habit only to meet with people who agree with him. He often shuns military families except those who are members of Blue Star Families which was formally Blue Star Families for Obama.

She was on Cavuto’s show yesterday, and I was thinking the very same thing. Her brother’s death really hit her hard and she has never wavered from seeking justice for him and all the people killed on 9/11. As you said, gutsy lady.

Statistically, SF are overwhelmingly white. While there certainly are members of pretty much every race in the most elite organizations, whites are (for lack of a better term) over-represented. In discussions at the end of the book Blackhawk Down, Mark Bowden discusses this at some length (there had been only one black member of TF Ranger). Whether you want to call it an excuse, conventional wisdom or fact, this disparity has largely been attributed to the stringent swimming/water survival qualifications of all the elite units from Army Rangers, SF, USAF Pararescue, and of course, Navy Seals. Blacks on average have leaner body masses and less bouyancy than whites, which in terms of all other things being equal, inhibits their ability to swim.
As you point out in the example of your friend, there are certainly those who are fully capable of making the cut, but I've heard the above explanation cited from more than one source regarding the under-representation of blacks.
Prolly not, but options exist.

And she created the rule that CIA and FBI couldn’t talk to each other, directly leading to the tragedy of 9/11.
And she managed to keep Clinton from being prosecuted over lying under oath.
So, that makes her a SUPERHERO of the Democratic Party!
