DEVELOPING: Usama bin Laden was given a religious funeral prior to his burial at sea, senior military officials told Fox News.
Religious rites were conducted on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier at about 1:10 a.m. Monday in the Persian Gulf.
In accordance with Islamic practice, bin Laden was washed and wrapped in a white sheet before buried at sea at 2 p.m. local time, senior U.S. military and intelligence officials said.

I don’t understand why so many are getting so mad over giving Osama a “Muslim” burial. The whole point is to show we are better than the “Osamas” of the Muslim world. We will show respect to a dead body....something they don’t do. We are not trying to stomp out Islam, just those that use it as a justification for acting crazy in a otherwise civilized world.
I wished they had gotten some Islamic Clerics to do the cleansing and burial at sea....and that they documented it well. It should be shown everywhere in the Mideast. It would stop speculation that we descrated the body.
He is dead, thankfully, that is enough for me. I don’t see any sense in stooping to their primitive level of action. Let them see Western Civilization at its best.

The human turd OBL showed no respect for his victims. Showing respect for him in this way makes us look weak. It would have been more appropriate to sever the head, and put it on a pole on the top of the Statue of Liberty’s torch.

I can tell you shedloads about Helmand. I have one son still serving there and one son who died there.
If, by being a little bit respectful to BL’s body without giving him a tomb that can act as a rallying point, it calms down the locals so I get my younger son back in one piece, I can live with that.

He gets a proper, Islamic burial in the Arabian Sea—so no Muslims are offended.

And I understand what you are saying completely. If I were the lone wolf out there with a gun and ran up against OBL, I would put a bullet between his eyes and share a ham sandwich with him.
That being said, rather than risk more extreme attacks on our soil, we did what we sort of HAD to do. It wasn’t completely to their customs. We still added the F.U. part of evidently sinking the murderer at sea undressed instead of the clothes he died in (which makes him a martyr). This has upset some of the muslim population. I say, deal with it. He killed innocent people and was “brave” enough to use a woman as a human shield upon his death. <sarc
I also posted that what we “said” and what we did are probably two different things. I am sure we have video where we took great care of the body and adhered to muslim tradition. I am also pretty sure that there are parts cut out of us shoving a bacon and ham sandwich down his throat and firing bullets to help that body sink. I was in the military and know how it works.
There is nothing right about desecrating the dead,the best way to keep on fighting,is to find the next guy and take him out.So on and so forth,let him be forgotten as just an other fool who use terror and the death of innocents for his own purposes.

That’s the way I look at it. Publicly denigrating OBL or abusing the body would have served no purpose except to potentially put Americans at more risk and lower America to their level. Smart means being cool. They did it right and smart.
I think we are all watching too much T.V.. I have jumped from Fox to CNN to BBC to etc, etc, etc.... They are all giving their ratings “get”. “If we don’t know, let’s make it up!” I’m sick and tired of all the conjecture that our msm makes up to get ratings. They get a bunch of guys who seem to play Call of Duty to add their opinions on how a SEAL attack is done.
Our military can not be beat. These guys don’t play fantasy games. They go in and get the job done. That’s why we don’t have a living body to parade around Times Square. They were given a mission and our SEAL boys fulfilled it.

they said he used human shields , now let us think about it, it was his wife and of course she lived with him so how was she a shield , she was not but many fall for it and repeat. Not saying you per se either so please do not get me wrong.
The only correct course of action was to bring the body to a location and let a pool of reporters photo him and then ditch the scum bag.
This way it stops all this questioning by anyone who has doubts.

I remember some guys , friends of mine built a mosque and still today they buried a pigs head in the foundation and still today they face mecca and towards a pig, BTW they were vets who did this but of course the left would not like that as a joke
We need to be all together in our fight and no doubt he will get a bounce but if this is used by the left then the GOP should state how he got a muslim service , something he took away from thousands, and that was a service
